Famous mountain and ski resort. Check out some of the gondola rides over the beautiful foliage. This is around a 90 minute drive from Montrose.

Ouray

The Switzerland of America. Check out the Box Canyon Falls or walk around historical downtown. You could also schedule horseback riding, an underground mine tour, or relax in the famous hot springs. This is around a 40 minute drive from Montrose.

Ridgway

National State Park has camping, a beach, hiking and a beautiful reservoir. This is around a 20 minute drive from Montrose.
