Korrissa and Seamus met in October of 2020. Seamus was just randomly sitting in her driveway. Can you believe that? Korrissa was just coming home from another date, and she somehow stumbled into the love of her life. In reality, Seamus was at a bonfire hosted by Korrissa’s neighbors, and she was really coming home from a date, but in Seamus’s words, “it was a date that doesn’t matter, and the person means nothing.” The neighbor asked Korrissa if she wanted to join the group, and so Korrissa went upstairs to her fridge and pulled out a liter of Barefoot Reisling peach wine, and plopped herself across the fire from Seamus. Seamus saw this woman drinking the wine straight from the bottle in leggings and a baggy sweatshirt, like she was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. He was immediately interested to know more about her. To everyone's benefit, Joey Resendez was there, and that man could make conversation with a monk. He started the conversation, and Korrissa immediately started on and on about the Colorado Avalanche. Seamus, knowing Joey knew nothing about hockey, saw his chance to jump in. There is still an argument today whether Seamus broke the bro code because Joey had “dibs”, but we don’t need to discuss that here. As soon as the hockey and the bachelorette conversation started between Seamus and Korrissa, it was love. They both chatted all night long, and Korrissa was really excited to give this guy her number and pursue something more. This did not stick with Seamus. He fumbled the ball and left without exchanging contact information because “I was trying to play it extra cool”. Fast forward 3 “extra extra cool” months later, Seamus was able to summon enough courage to send the famous Instagram DM (direct message for the older readers). It read on January 4 th 2021: Seamus: Hey, Happy Birthday!!!! Korrissa: Uhhhh, I think you are confused. It is not my Birthday today. Seamus: Ohhhhh, sorry, I totally thought we had the same Birthday. My bad. Korrissa: OMG, you are so dumb. Happy Birthday to you. From then on, they talked every day and began a relationship that would last a lifetime. They are very excited to have everyone who was a part of their journey and who will be a part of their journey to be here today and celebrate their love.
