Getting To/From Ireland

Guests are responsible for arranging their own travel to and from Ireland. While there are two airports guests can choose between, Dublin Airport and Belfast International Airport, we recommend flying into Dublin. Both are around 2 hours from the venue. Once in country, transportation to and from the venue is ultimately up to each guest. However, we are offering an optional, coordinated shuttle between Dublin and Belle Isle Estate to make things easier (see details below).

Travel Note

Passports

Guests will need a passport to join us on this adventure. Please ensure you give yourself adequate time to ensure your passport is up-to-date!

Travel Note

Visas

As of Jan 8, 2025, U.S. citizens are now required to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) to enter the UK and the Republic of Ireland. Guests can easily apply for an ETA online by following the instructions through the attached link. ETAs are about $12 and last for two years. It takes the UK government roughly 3 days to approve ETAs, but it's better to apply sooner rather than later.

Lodging - Belle Isle

All guests will be provided two nights of accommodation in Belle Isle Castle with check-in on 12.27.2025 and check-out on 12.29.2025. We’ve rented the entire estate for the wedding weekend, so all guests will have a room onsite unless they opt out or fail to RSVP. That means no need to travel between the hotel, ceremony, or reception—everything will happen in one place for a relaxed, all-in-one celebration. Any additional accommodations will be the responsibility of the guest. If you would like to extend your stay at Belle Isle, guests will work with the Belle Isle staff directly to make such arrangements. Reach out to Abigail or Nick if you want to extend your stay, and we will get you in contact with the correct person.

Travel Note

Renting a Car

Americans can generally rent vehicles in Ireland with ease. If you opt to rent a car, be aware that Ireland drives on the left side of the road.

Travel Note

Cab Information

Services such as Uber and Lyft are banned in Ireland so guests should be prepared to use taxis in lieu of Lyft and Uber. A local taxi service near Belle Isle is Diamond Cabs. Refer to the link below should you choose to hail a taxi to explore the area beyond the venue!

Travel Note

Shuttles

To help make your travels easier, we are offering a coordinated shuttle service between Dublin and Belle Isle Estate for guests who prefer not to arrange their own transportation once in country. Cost: $50 one-way | $100 round-trip 12.23 Update: We currently have two spots left on the shuttle. If you need the shuttle, please reach out asap. More shuttle details can be found in the link below.

Early Arrival Lodging - Dublin

Flying into Dublin early and need a place to stay? We’ve got you covered! We’ve reserved a block of rooms at the Carlton Hotel-Dublin Airport for the night of December 26—and secured a special discounted rate for our guests. To get the discounted rate, you’ll need to book through the link below. This hotel is right next to the airport and offers a free 24/7 shuttle between the terminals and the hotel. Reservations include breakfast, and the hotel is near several bus lines into downtown Dublin, in case you’d like to explore the city before heading to Belle Isle. Lastly, if you’re taking the optional shuttle from Dublin to Belle Isle on December 27, the pickup will be directly from this hotel (meaning that you never have to worry about driving while you're here)! Room reservation deadline: November 21, 2025 Need to cancel? Just make sure you do so at least 72 hours in advance to avoid any fees.
