What is the dress code?

The dress code for the wedding will be semi-formal. The couple can’t wait to see everyone all dressed up!

Are kids welcome?

Yes, kids are welcome. Once RVSPs come around, please make sure to notate any children so we can best accommodate their meals.

The ceremony and reception will be taking place at the Chateau at Incline Village.

What should I know about the elevation?

Answer

Lake Tahoe sits at an elevation of 6,224 feet above sea level, which is much higher than most people are used to. The air is thinner, the sun hits harder, and you can feel alcohol much quicker. Make sure to drink plenty of water, wear sunscreen, and take it easy while your body adjusts to the elevation.

How will ceremony seating be arranged?

Answer

The ceremony will be open seating, and we will have an usher to help you choose your seat.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

To maintain the intimacy of our ceremony and allow our photographers to do their best work, we request an unplugged ceremony. Please refrain from using phones, camera, or any other recording devices until after the ceremony has concluded. We promise to share the professional photos with you afterward!

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes there will be! Select beer, wine and 2 signature cocktails will be available on us! Non-alcoholic options will be available as well. Please drink responsibly! Note if you are not used to elevation, your alcohol tolerance will be lower so please be aware.

Will the wedding take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors. The dinner and reception will take place indoors, with doors to the outside space with fire pits to enjoy.

You’re way ahead of the game! The RSVP deadline will be included in your formal invitation :)

What is the weather usually like in September?

Answer

Mid-September in Incline Village is usually in the 60s or 70s during the day, and can go down to the 40s and 50s at night (Fahrenheit). Rainfall isn’t very common during September. We suggest bringing a jacket, shawl or something else to keep you warm in the evening. Reception and dinner will be indoors, with an option to hang out outside by some fire pits!
