An art deco Chicago classic! The Palmer House was Chicago's first hotel with elevators, and the first hotel with electric light bulbs and telephones in the guest rooms. It has also been dubbed the longest continuously operating hotel in North America (although it closed in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic).

A great option for "in and out" guests, this is one of the closest hotels to the wedding venue. No extra frills, but clean and safe, and located in the ultra-walkable West Loop neighborhood.

Chicago O’Hare Airport

Chicago's largest of two main airports, O'Hare is located in the far northwest part of the city. Travelers can get to/from Midway via taxi (can be hailed directly from the arrivals entrance), car rentals, rideshare (Uber and Lyft), and public transportation (Blue Line CTA station and buses). The orange line travels directly between the airport and downtown, and tickets can be purchased right outside the station. Security lines typically take longer to get through at O'Hare than they do at Midway. We'd recommend arriving for your departure no less than 1.5 hours before your flight departs. **Note** Southwest Airlines has EXTREMELY limited flights into O'Hare; if you are flying Southwest, you will likely be flying through Chicago Midway Airport.

Midway is Chicago's second airport, and is a base for Southwest Airlines, which carries over 95% of the passengers at the airport. While still very busy, it is typically considered an "easier" airport. Travelers can get to/from Midway via taxi (can be hailed directly from the arrivals entrance), car rentals, rideshare (Uber and Lyft), and public transportation (Orange Line CTA station and buses). The orange line travels directly between the airport and downtown, and tickets can be purchased right outside the station.
