Best Man
I’ve known him my whole life. Wait, that’s not right. HIS whole life (he's younger). He’s my one-and-only sibling. The bro-ski. Sean and I have too many great times together for me even to begin recounting them. From our one year in college together with toilets being tossed out windows (we just witnessed it) to moving to Arizona together, we always had and have a blast. Whether it’s playing bags, a drinking game, or just hanging out, our family and friends know we’re a team. I couldn’t ask for a better brother, friend, or Best Man. I think our battle cry best showcases our relationship: Hostert Brothers against the world! If, during the wedding, you're looking to chat about golf or just want someone with a good sense of humor that’s quick to throw out some funny quips, find Sean.
Maid of Honor
Timian Godfrey has been my sideckick and best friend since before I could drive. We met early on in high school and we have been together through every phase of life since then. We met when I was my most awkward, goofy version of myself and when we are together we still laugh like a couple of 15 year old girls. Although goofy and fun loving, she is incredibly driven and inspires me regularly. Timian doesn’t do anything in her life half hearted. She is a nurse practitioner, a student at John’s Hopkins University, the best party planner in the whole wide world and an amazing mother of two little girls. I couldn’t imagine saying “I do” without her by my side. You’ll find Timian running the show, making sure the wedding goes as planned…or probably giggling in the corner with me.
Groomsman
Steve and I met as college freshman at our fraternity. Now, Steve lives in Chicago with his wife Sarah and their daughter Olivia. Another entrepreneur, Steve owns an architecture firm. If you walk into a drugstore in Cook County to pick up your Preparation H or over-the-counter laxative, you’re probably in a store he designed. Everyone has the “fun couple” friends – Steve and Sarah are mine. Before moving to AZ, I spent a great deal of time (and had a great deal of fun) with them in Chicago. Since Steve is always in the right place at the right time when something funny happens, he always has something funny and relatable to share. Steve can make pretty much any conversation topic entertaining. If you need a topic to open the door for conversation, just ask about designing custom homes.
Maid of Honor
Morgan and I met in college and quickly became confidants. Anyone that knows Morgan immediately notices 2 things. First, she is magnetic. She is the kind of person that people are drawn to and immediately love. Second, she always has an entourage. She is always surrounded by people whether it is her 2 beautiful girls, her family, or friends. Once you are in Morgan’s tribe she will keep you forever, and in my case she has. She moved back to UT after college, so she brought me with her. She got a job in NM, and brought me. She has family in AZ, and brought me in when my family was all in UT. She later moved companies, and so I did too. I am continually grateful to be best friends and part of her entourage. You’ll find Morgan surrounded by people, making new friends, and expanding her tribe.
Groomsman
When you look at the wedding party, you’ll note a tall, Vin Diesel-looking fella. Enter Matt Hettinger. Matt and I go back to the third grade. The good ol’ days. Tag on the playground. Snack breaks at 9:00am. Simple times… Oops, I’m reminiscing. Matt resides in Illinois with his wife Sarah and their 3 children. He owns and operates an auto dealer with his dad. Matt is also a veteran of the United States Navy, where he served right out of high school. If you chat with Matt at the wedding, buy him a drink and thank him for his service. Oh, wait. We’re buying the drinks. All you need to do is hand it to him and thank him for his service. We made it that much easier for you. When you speak with Matt, pretty much any topic is open, from owning your own business to raising a family.
Bridesmaid
Kimmie and I met in college and our lives have always been in sync. We graduated at the same time, had our single girls days together, got engaged around the same time, and are fortunate enough to be in each other’s weddings in the same year. She is the most glamorous person I know and is somehow still authentic and fiercely loyal. She is a true girls’ girl. She is the kind of woman that builds other women up. Cheers them on, celebrates accomplishments, and is always the first to let me know when she finds amazing make up or shoes. She has a successful career, two darling kitties, and the top spot in my speed dial. You’ll find Kimmie on the dance floor singing her little heart out to a good tune. If you see this girl singing, listen close she has the voice of an angel.
Groomsman
Rich and I spend a lot of time together. Like, a lot. We work together. We share an office. I’m glad he has good hygiene otherwise all that time in an office together would be dangerous. I hope I don’t smell. Not only is Rich a great friend, but he’s often my go-to-guy for all sorts of advice. Rich is my level-headed mentor. That being said, I still see him cut loose, which is always great. He can transition from serious life discussions to dancing on bar tables and back again with ease. Interesting note on Rich: he was the first non-family groomsman to meet Jess. He's also a demon on snow skis. He goes like a bat out of hell and has no mercy for the slow. If you want to talk skiing, water or snow, he’s your guy. Just don’t talk about golf – we’ll need to find an AED and revive him.
Bridesmaid
Raquel and I met within the first few weeks of starting college. When we met I was in awe of how this girl had it all together. Over the past 10 years I have known her, she has continued to blow me away with her amazing career at Zappos, being a wonderful mom, and her ongoing ventures as an entrepreneur. The best part about Raquel is that she has no idea how amazing she is. She is humble, kind, and loyal. With busy lives we don’t get to talk regularly, but she is the friend that pulls though when I need her most. She is my go to when I need an adventure from wine tasting in San Fran or dancing down the streets of Cabo. You’ll find this beauty on the dancefloor either snapping her fingers or snapping pictures of the wedding festivities.
Groomsman
Vince and I met freshman year of college, pledged the same fraternity, and were roommates sophomore and senior years. He then attended Michigan State for law and now resides in Madison, WI with his wife Kara. Interesting fact: he has dual-citizenship with the U.S. and Italy. His Italian background benefited us in college through superb culinary skills. After a night out, Vince would bread and fry mushrooms (side of marinara) to satisfy our appetites. From across the apartment, I would hear yelps and cursing as fryer oil splashed his hands and arms. Probably not the best decision to cook at 2 a.m. after a long night out, but I’ll admit the food was great! Ask Vince about his internship at the U.S. DOJ, acquiring dual-citizenship, etc. Regardless, he always has something unique to share.
Bridesmaid
Sarah and I met since we both have wonderful taste in men. Sarah is dating Kevin’s little brother Sean. She is multi-faceted and is the friend you can take anywhere. We have had a slew of adventures together from Las Vegas escapades, concerts, pool parties, softball games, Hostert family parties, and lots of Scottsdale Saturday nights. I am lucky enough to call Sarah my second family in Arizona. She is a blond bombshell and with brains to match. I am so proud that after years of hard work she is graduating from pharmacy school in May. She has been my best friend that has known Kevin and I through our entire relationship and I am so grateful that she will be part of our big day. You’ll find Sarah on the dance floor or twirling around with the best man.
Groomsman
Rob and I met in college through our illustrious fraternity. Undoubtedly one of the smartest guys I know, Rob works in the Windy City creating financial algorithms that will one day crash the stock market and plunge us into a Mad Max-type apocalyptic world…. Just kidding (but he is in finance). Interesting fact – Rob was there for the fairy-tale proposal. Well, not the actual moment. When Jess and I visited Grand Cayman, Rob was there kite-boarding. He was the first person to congratulate us in-person. It was great to celebrate a momentous occasion with a long-time friend. If you want to talk to someone about travel, Rob is your guy. A lot of his stories will begin with “This one time I was in [insert exotic location] and…” This guy is always on the move and doing something fun.
Bridesmaid
In all fairness Jenny could stand by Kevin or I at the wedding, but I decided she looks better in a dress. Jenny was actually Kevin’s friend first. She and Kev met when he moved to AZ in 2012. Jenny is warm, welcoming and the life of the party. She took a chance on the Hostert Brothers and plugged them into her social circle. I was lucky enough to join it when Kevin and I met. Jenny is my super model friend. She is tall, glamorous, and always manages to get us into any bar and skip the line. Although she is glam, she is kind and brilliant too. She has "MBA" behind her name and a killer corporate career. Jenny cheers me on when I need a pep talk, and celebrates with me when I feel on top of the world. You’ll find Jenny on the dance floor, wine in hand, cheering on my bad dance moves.
Officiant
Jess and I know marriage has plenty of challenges. Just look at the national statistics. When we thought about who should perform the “I Do” honors for us, it was important to find someone with an admirable marriage and family life. And, we wanted someone who knew us both. My cousin Jim fits all of the criteria and excels beyond it. Jim has always been like an older brother to me, someone I can go to for advice on anything. He and his wife Amy are always welcoming and treated Jess like family from the first introduction. Over the years, Jess and I enjoyed visiting their home, getting their kids riled up (preferably right before bedtime) and then leaving them to deal with our actions. Kidding! Well... maybe not. Look for his twin daughters, Courtney and Kate, as flower girls.
Flower Girl
A wedding isn't complete without a flower girl. Luckily for us, my Goddaughter (Courtney) is a twin so we get two for the price of one. I'm pretty sure getting two-for-one flower girls is the only deal we received while planning this wedding. Courtney and Kate are "Reverend" Jim's daughters. Kate is the easy-going, giggly, all-smiles twin whereas Courtney often has a mischievous grin about her. They always keep Jess and I entertained and it's been fun to watch them both grow up over the last few years. Admittedly, I'm excited to see what kind of antics they get into later in life. I think parents Jim and Amy will have their hands full. Meet the only exception to our "kid-free zone" wedding. Once you do, you'll know why these little tykes got tapped for the job!
Usher
Travis is my little brother. Travis and I had a picture-perfect childhood, riding bikes, having nerf gun wars, building sand castles, and baking in my easy bake oven. As kids, Travis and I were either driving each other crazy or we were best pals. Now we are just best pals. Travis is smart and inquisitive. He has always been the type of kid to take apart his toys and push every button. As an example, as a toddler Travis pulled the fire alarm at church and over a hundred confused people came running out of the building. Travis is currently a flight instructor at Utah Valley University. He and his sweet wife Noelle will be moving to Dallas, Texas next year where Travis will be working as a pilot. You’ll find Travis sampling wedding cake or if you see him near a fire alarm… tell my mom😊
Usher
My youngest siblings are 2 years apart. Anyone who has survived having 2 little people in diapers understands that you need to “divide and conquer” to keep up. That is exactly what my mom and I did. She took on my newborn sister and tasked me with taking care of Casey. Casey was (and still is) an angel. Because I spent a lot of my preteen years with him on my hip, I like to take partial credit for the amazing man he has turned into…. and every time I try to take credit, he quickly reminds me about the one time I ACCIDENTALLY broke his leg….It was definitely and accident and he will definitely want to tell you all about it at the wedding. Casey has a love for music so you’ll find him jamming out with the band and probably checking out their guitars during breaks.

For those of you that haven't met me, I'm sorry. I'm sorry that upon meeting me you will become instantly saddened knowing there has been a huge void in your life prior to our first meeting. But don't worry. I'll help you overcome that sadness and it will be great. You heard Jess' story, here's mine: my name is Kevin, I have hair on my chest and I get sh*t done. The end. Ok. So it's not the end. This is really the beginning of a new chapter. Without all of the other people on this page - and the so many friends and family that are not - I wouldn't be where I am today. Happy. Excited. Thankful. A big thanks to everyone that supported me in everything I do - it put me where I am today. On a side note, if we haven't met, please stop me at the wedding so we can chat. Looking forward to it.
Bride
She's the cat's pajamas. The bee's knees. She's as cool as the underside of a pillow. She's my bride. Paul Simon put it best in the song Kodachrome: If you took all the girls I knew when I was single and brought them all together for one night I know they'd never match my sweet imagination everything looks worse in black and white. Jess is my imagination in that song, though I didn't know it until I met her. Whether it's relaxing at home or out on a "K&J Adventure Day" activity (that name is patent pending), we always have a blast together. Jess is free-spirited and open to adventure. I'm excited to share endless fun times with her ahead For those who haven't met Jess, just introduce yourself. She'll become an instant friend, a true testament to her like-ability and warm heart.
