My first friend & forever best bud. Batman to my Robin. From growing up playing wiffle ball in the side yard, Legos, Tony Hawk, Dirty Dog & Bandit Baseball, Maple Shade Football, wrestling meets for days on end, to being roommates at University of Delaware and eventually co-workers leading adventure experiences at Pali Mountain. His strength, tenacity, perseverance, & intelligence is matched, if not exceeded by his humor, kindness, compassion, and empathy he chooses to lead with daily. I am forever grateful to have Jesse stand as my best man on our wedding day.

Zach was my roommate in at the University of Delaware and likely the main reason I was able to complete a successful student teaching experience during that time. Zach has been a long time climbing partner and travel buddy, from the Adirondacks to the Eastern Sierra's, UDoc to Summit, we've been known to get each other out of unexpected challenges and lead others to unexpected heights. I would not be the person I am today without having Zach in my life.

Amelia's older sister. Kelsey was Amelia's first friend. Amelia credits Kelsey's influence for becoming the caregiver and doctor that she has become.

The only man here with a funnier accent than me. My partner in all things Challenge Course and Adventure Education. They say to find the people who do it the way it’s suppose to be done and to follow their lead. Through Alex’s guidance over the better part of the past decade, he has taught me what it means to lead by example, to stay compassionate in the moment, and to always value honesty and integrity when making challenging decisions. We've traveled everywhere together and had some amazing experience along the way, from Fairbanks, Alaska to the Northshore of Hawaii, (even to that strange shed in I-don't-remember-where, Indiana..) and throughout all of it, created a friendship I will forever be grateful for.

Sam and Amelia went to medical school together. They also ended up both matching to and enduring general surgery residency together at OHSU. Sam, a native Canadian, is returning to Canada to become a pediatric surgeon.

I first met Ben early in my teaching career when he pulled up to the top of Pali Mountain in an old school mid 90's Winnebago, ready to start his career in the field Outdoor Education. His talent as a playful facilitator paired with his passion for conservation and a deep connection with the outdoors immediately sparked a lasting friendship and a continued commitment to protecting the spaces we love. Ben has always had the ability to push me to be the best version of myself all while keeping me grounded at the same time. From climbing trips to Joshua Tree, Red Rock Canyon, Bishop, and Smith Rock, to fishing the rivers of the Pacific Northwest, I look forward to many more years of friendship, adventure, and advocacy for the people and places we call home.

Amelia's (long-lost) cousin. They actually didn't meet until about six years ago. They've spent the last years together in the Portland area bonding over slot machines, keeping Amelia alive and normal during surgery residency and hanging with Europa's dog Bruno.

Paul(y) has always been a good friend, dating all the way back to our days at Shawnee, Highschool in New Jersey. From our days playing football together as Renegades, fishing the local lakes with our friends, and countless pre-dawn tee-times at the golf course, Pauly has always been there to make it a good time. Watching Paul become the father he is today to both Abby & Frank fills me with great joy. I am proud of the person he is and continues to be and couldn't be happier to have him join us on our wedding day.

Amelia's sister-in-law and Kevin's younger sister. Lauren is the one that has kept Kevin in line over the years so he has been able grown into a functional and tolerable human being. She is also wife to Groomsman Matt Ware and mother of the Flower Girl Ellie Ware. Kevin has always looked up to his little sister and is constantly inspired through her artistic endeavors and the kind soul she is. We are forever proud of the mother she is to Ellie and the community she chooses to surround herself with. Don't be fooled though, she is a Jersey girl at heart and is not afraid to keep us all in line when we are in need of a good "kick-in-the-butt" (Kevin specifically...).

The best brother in-law anyone could ask for. Husband to my beautiful sister, Lauren, and father to our favorite human in the world, Elliot Mae, Matt is truly an amazing human being. From our time spent on the golf course together, to fishing the local lakes, and smoking some amazing BBQ to watching him grow into the family man he is today is what I will always admire him for. Though I won't fault him for his misguided love for the Chicago Bears, we will always be able to share our love for the Philadelphia Phillies and try to forget the soul crushing loss we witnessed together in game 6 of the 2023 NLCS. Hey, there's always next year...

Uncle Kev and Aunt Meila's beloved niece. Ellie loves Taylor Swift, yoga, making and interpreting EKG lines on her Etch-a-Sketch, being a Medford Lake Laker girl and cuddling with her cat, Dave. Ellie seems to always have Amelia's back and is not afraid to put Uncle Kevin in his place when he teases Amelia. We all deserve to have a special human like Ellie in our life.

When it comes to leading the day, there is no one with a bigger presence & bigger heart than our close friend (and Mountain Pirate) Jason Balcome. From our years spent teaching Outdoor Education in the mountains of Southern California, Thanksgivings in Bishop, late night garage jam sessions, and shared love of the Grateful Dead, life sure is fun whenever Jason is involved. Proud of the dad he has become to his son Emmitt and the great friend he continues to be to this day. Forever grateful to have Jason be a part of our Wedding Ceremony.
