Weekend Kick-Off Hike!

Adventure attire!
We will meet at the Chingachgook main parking lot (first entrance) for a mid-morning hike! Think of it as a sort of meet-and-greet for wedding attendees, and a chance to get an incredible vista over the lake during a fairly short hike! We will start from Camp on our way to Stewart's Ledges. The hike has a good amount of elevation gain for a stretch, and can be described as moderate... which means you will work up a bit of a sweat! Total moving time will be approximately 90 minutes, including a stop at the lookout. Please bring water and sturdy shoes to hike in!

We will be hosting an open house in the Beer Garden (outdoors) in two time windows, 5:30 to 7:30pm and 7:30 to 9:30pm, with music by our good friend and talented musician Rich Ortiz during both windows! Please remember to make dinner plans elsewhere, dress appropriately for a chilly autumn night outside, and to try and keep your visit inside your designated window! We will have some light refreshments for everyone to enjoy. So come let us welcome you properly, grab a delicious beverage, and enjoy some great tunes at one of our favorite places in the Adirondacks. Oh, and don't forget to wear a party shirt underneath your jacket... it's a tradition at Common Roots on Friday nights!

Want to head home at 10pm? NEITHER DO WE! Please join us at The Garrison after the reception for further nuptial merriment. There will be a school bus shuttling folks from the reception to either the after-party spot or back to the hotel. Folks who attend the after-party are encouraged to use Lyft or Uber to return home. Or, if you're staying at the hotel, it is a short, pleasant walk along the beach from the Garrison!

Sunday Beach Day!

Dress for water and adventure!
Park at the Chingachgook main lot and head down to the waterfront for a beachside hangout! Take out a canoe and enjoy one of the most scenic lakes in the country. Go for a polar plunge in the bay (Spencer will definitely join you). Play a game of beach volleyball. Or try your hand at one of our favorite yard games such as Kubb, Cornhole, KanJam, or Spikeball! All activities are completely free of charge, and we will provide some snacks, light lunch, and refreshments. Feel free to bring your own picnic and adult beverages too! We’d love to spend a little more time with you before the weekend ends, so come embrace your inner child with a day of relaxing fun at the place where our Love Story began.
