It's a must see for those wanting to know more about Motor City, USA and the person with the largest influence on it - Henry Ford. Consisting of a village of attractions and exhibits as well as the Henry Ford Museum next door with a massive IMAX theater, there's a lot to see and do. Try the frozen custard served in the village! Last time Victor went, Victor had them swirl blueberry cheesecake and vanilla, and Kaytlynn enjoyed her custard too!
If staying in a hotel, they will likely have coffee with breakfast, but if you are in a rush or want to get "fancier" coffee, then we recommend a Biggby. This is certainly not the only location, but Victor and Kaytlynn vote Biggby over Tim Horton's. Dunkin and Starbucks exist, but if you want something more "local" then we suggest a Biggby (sorry, not sorry Tim Horton), they have lots of fun flavors and combinations, no matter your typical order, for any coffee drinker.
We tested this place out when we were in Michigan for Christmas & New Years break in 2021. They have the famous cosmic fries, which are delicious and they have lots of beer, wine, and hard cider options. FYI - you will have to battle street parking in Detroit though, but we feel it is well worth it.
It is a bit of a hike - about 40 minutes from where the hotel is, but in Kaytlynn's opinion, well worth it if you have the time and transportation because it's one of her favs! Delicious hard ciders and donuts (and plenty of other baked goods & food). The Armada location is where the orchard is, they have a large taproom and bakery there. They run lots of events, worth a check in on their website for more information or to see current events going on: https://blakefarms.com/ .
