Online dating can be hard, but that is how Victor and I, two people born and raised in different states, came to meet. I almost lost him on the app, but thankfully was able to find him again to message him back. We had our first date at a Coffee Bar in northern Virginia near Leesburg. I was very nervous and arrived before him. I kept checking the time as our set time came and went. After a while I began to think I got stood up. I checked the app one last time and saw a message from Victor that he managed to put in the wrong address and ended up somewhere completely different. With a promise he was still coming, I wait (impatiently, of course - haha). He finally arrived with a smile on his face. After shutting the coffee place down we walked around the block, wanting to drag the night out as long as we could. The rest is history :)
For those that know us well, know we love breakfast. It should then be no surprise that our two year anniversary day started off with a nice breakfast at a local breakfast restaurant in Baltimore (Miss Shirley's Cafe - highly recommend if you are in Baltimore). We later got ready to visit the coffee bar we had our first date at - though the original place closed during the pandemic, another non-chain coffee place opened in the same location. When we arrived in northern Virginia, we parked the car and made our way to the coffee place. We enjoyed some coffee and a muffin before Victor suggested that we go enjoy the lights (our anniversary is 12/13 so Christmas lights were every where). We went back to the huge lit up Christmas tree, at Victor's assertion we should get more pictures now that it was lit (because I insisted on pictures on our way to the coffee place). Except after we arrived, instead of us taking more photos he got down on one knee and proposed (after the proper amount of loving words). He also had a photographer hiding in wait ready to capture the perfect moment (see the pic at the bottom of this page!).
