If you are hanging around Florence for a bit, here are some recommendations we have! - Osteria Pastella (Homestyle Tuscan) - Salumeria Verdi/Pino's (Sandwiches) - Buca Lapi (Florentine Steak) - Trattoria Mario (Tuscan) - Perseus (Florentine Steak) - Il Latini (Homestyle Tuscan - have to get there before they open) - Antico Ristorante Paoli (Oldest restaurant in Florence) P.S. We also recommend the food tour linked below. If you have the time, it's a great way to get a little history and an intro to Florentine food!
We did the guided tour (see link) that included both the Uffizi and Academia galleries and could not recommend it enough! If you do not want to do a tour, there is of course regular ticket entry. Tip: Tours usually allow you to skip the line. Otherwise we recommend to show up bright and early to the Uffizi! This tour also offers a stop by the Duomo.
Grab a bottle of wine and a snack and head to this piazza for a great view of the city! Note - it does require stairs and a few steep inclines to reach the top.

A famous and historic bridge in Florence! A great spot to take photos and even do a little jewelry shopping if you're interested. Highly recommended looking up the history of the bridge - it is a great story!
