Restaurants in Florence Area!

If you are hanging around Florence for a bit, here are some recommendations we have! - Osteria Pastella (Homestyle Tuscan) - Salumeria Verdi/Pino's (Sandwiches) - Buca Lapi (Florentine Steak) - Trattoria Mario (Tuscan) - Perseus (Florentine Steak) - Il Latini (Homestyle Tuscan - have to get there before they open) - Antico Ristorante Paoli (Oldest restaurant in Florence) P.S. We also recommend the food tour linked below. If you have the time, it's a great way to get a little history and an intro to Florentine food!

Uffizi Galleries

Uffizi Galleries

6 Piazzale degli Uffizi, Firenze, Toscana 50122, Italy

We did the guided tour (see link) that included both the Uffizi and Academia galleries and could not recommend it enough! If you do not want to do a tour, there is of course regular ticket entry. Tip: Tours usually allow you to skip the line. Otherwise we recommend to show up bright and early to the Uffizi! This tour also offers a stop by the Duomo.

Piazzale Michelangelo

Piazzale Michelangelo

Piazzale Michelangelo, Firenze, Toscana 50125, Italy

Grab a bottle of wine and a snack and head to this piazza for a great view of the city! Note - it does require stairs and a few steep inclines to reach the top.

Galleria dell’Accademia di Firenze

Galleria dell’Accademia di Firenze

58 Via Ricasoli, Firenze, Toscana 50129, Italy

We did the guided tour (see link) that included both the Uffizi and Academia galleries and could not recommend it enough! If you do not want to do a tour, there is of course regular ticket entry. Tip: Tours usually allow you to skip the line. Otherwise we recommend to show up bright and early to the gallery! This tour also has a stop to see the Duomo.

Ponte Vecchio

Ponte Vecchio

Ponte Vecchio, Firenze, Toscana 50125, Italy

A famous and historic bridge in Florence! A great spot to take photos and even do a little jewelry shopping if you're interested. Highly recommended looking up the history of the bridge - it is a great story!

Tour of Tuscany Day Trip - Pisa, Siena, San Gimigano

Tour of Tuscany Day Trip - Pisa, Siena, San Gimigano

27 Piazza della Stazione, Firenze, Toscana 50123, Italy

We did this day trip tour from Florence and we really loved it! You get to see three well known medieval villages and have a stop for lunch at a breathtaking winery.
