Glasgow

The hometown of the groom, so we may be bias but this underrated city has so much to offer from delicious foods, to local pints, and museums. A few of the bride and grooms favorite spots: Òran Mór (church turned pub in the westend), Ashton Lane, Merchant square for good eats and pubs, The Barras is a flea market held every saturday and sunday home to local vendors.

Rabbies Tours

Highly recommend booking a tour with Rabbies Tours. It is a great way to see Scotland quickly and good for small or big groups without driving. They have tours going to Isle of Skye, Glencoe, Inverness, and more. Our wedding planner has had people be picked up straight from the castle in groups of up to 16! There are tours leaving from all major cities in Scotland including Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Inverness.

Glencoe

3.5 hours from Drumtochty Castle. Classic scenic views of the Scottish Highlands. For James Bond fans, Harry Potter fans and nature lovers. Hike in Glencoe Valley (use AllTrails for trail recs) and visit Glenfinnan Viaduct Viewpoint (watch the Hogwarts Express!). One of the bride and groom's favorite places in all of Scotland. You might get lucky and see some reindeer or a stag!

Isle of Skye

5-hour scenic drive from Drumtochty (stop in Glencoe en route). Visit Eilean Donan Castle (an iconic castle in Scotland), hike to the Fairy Pools, old man of storr, and the quiraing, and explore kilt rock, neist point, and portree town

Edinburgh
