Like many modern love stories, ours began with a swipe. Grant had been living in New Jersey for 2 months before he met Kaylee. Kaylee downloaded Tinder because she was bored while home for the summer and Grant had Tinder for god knows what. They matched in June 2016 and after texting for a few weeks, Grant convinced Kaylee to take NJ Transit (for the first time) out to Boonton, NJ for their first date. On their very first date at Matta Donna (which they both agree is the worst italian food they've ever had) in Boonton, NJ, Grant wasted no time making his intentions clear — he convinced Kaylee to delete all her dating apps right then and there. (Spoiler: it worked.) From that moment on, it was just the two of them. Since then, they’ve mastered the art of traveling, lazy sunday's with their cat Muddy, and (to Kaylee's dismay) rafting on Grant's "boat." Through it all, they’ve been each other’s favorite teammate, partner-in-crime, and best friend. On July 4th 2024, at a cabin in the Catskills, Grant popped the big question. Well, he got down on one knee, opened the ring box and said nothing. Through the initial shock- Kaylee said "are you going to ask me something?" and the next chapter of their story officially began.
