Matron of Honor
Katy and Laura met at church when they were five and have been friends ever since through band camp, youth group, girl scouting, trips abroad, and more. They both thought they were Animorphs for a month in elementary school—the Scholastic Book Fair is a hell of a drug.
Maid of Honor
Katy and Michelle also met at church when they were five and have stayed friends through girl scouting, museum internships, and many long semi-motivational coffee shop sessions. Michelle found, toured, and convinced Katy to move into her first apartment in Washington, D.C.—about a month before she met Jim.
Maid of Honor
Katy and Kelsey met in elementary school and bonded over their love of all things Sailor Moon. When they were crossing guards in 5th grade, they made up a parody to Aerosmith's "Jaded" entitled "Purpled," which was about what it feels like to walk into a Limited Too. Their creative genius has yet to run dry.
Bridesmaid (& Florist)
Katy met Lisbeth when they were freshmen in college living in the same dorm, then decided to stick out the next three years as roommates. As of today, Katy and Jim are only just about to beat Lisbeth's 3-year housemate record and that doesn't even count the months of European WOOFing. Lisbeth and her husband Joe grew and arranged literally all of the flowers at the wedding. Yes, this is a straight-up advertisement for Split Acre Farms (https://splitacrefarm.com/).
Bridesmaid
Katy met Kat in college and now they both live in the DC area. Kat has been around for many of Jim and Katy's big moments—including being the first person to use the word "girlfriend" to describe Katy's relationship to Jim during a weekend wine moment. It stuck.
Bridesmaid
Julie is Jim's younger sister. Katy met Julie at the Lake of the Ozarks, where the Ozols go every year for vacation with their extended family. Katy loved getting to know Jim's family, and knew it was a good fit when Julie used a Gatorade bottle to spray water (and cocktails) into people's mouths shouting "Hydrate or Die-drate!" And hydrate they did.
Best Man
Erik was Jim’s first friend when he moved to DC over 6 years ago. Ever since they have been thick as thieves. Erik has been there for then whole of Katy and Jim’s relationship and has always been there when Jim needed him. Sometimes it makes Katy jealous, calling Erik Jim’s first love.
Groomsman
Groomswoman
Cassandra and Jim have known each other since Jim was in preschool. Cassandra taught Jim how to play Magic, Dungeons & Dragons, and first introduced him to Gencon. Cassandra is fully responsible for how big of a nerd Jim is.
Groomswoman
Casi and Jim first met in Freshman English class and both joined technical theater. Whether it was making up our own setlist to the musicals or sprinting down the hallway for the ultimate high five, Casi and Jim were always doing something weird and had a blast doing it. Now they live on opposite coasts but can always count on meeting up for breakfast around Christmas.
Groomsman
Mike and Jim have known eachother since birth. Growing up people would always stop and ask if they were twins and they might as well could have been as Mike is equally nerdy having played D&D, Magic, and was also on the wrestling team.
Groomsman
Jimmy and Jim first met early in Katy and Jim’s relationship when Jim went to Katy’s family’s for Christmas. Jim had no idea what he was in for. Things have only become crazier, but a lot more fun.
