Harpers Ferry National Historical Park

This historic town where the Shenandoah and Potomac rivers meet offers hiking and history just a 30 minute drive from Shepherdstown. The point overlooking the town is where Jim proposed to Katy.

Bike the C&O Canal

Borrow one of the Bavarian Inns bikes (or rent them in town) and go for a ride on the C&O Canal. This canal runs along the Potomac all the way from Cumberland to Washington, DC and takes you through several National Parks. The trail starts just on the other side of the Potomac from the Bavarian Inn.

Downtown Shepherdstown
