Katie and Katri were paired as Freshman year roommates at Michigan Tech. Little did they know that they would live together all 4 years of undergraduate only driving each other moderately crazy. Katri's first adventure buddy, they have traveled together from Ireland to camping in the Rockies.
Tyler Schwab
Best Man
Zach enjoyed 2.5 peaceful years before Tyler entered the family. Since then he hasn't had a quiet moment at home to himself. But Zach wouldn't want anyone else to be his best man at his wedding. Although both are experts at pushing each other's buttons, these two brothers have stayed close.
Leah Goldman
Bridesmaid
Leah and Katri were destined to be friends as the only two vegetarians on the Michigan Tech Soccer Team. Leah taught Katri that tofu wasn't scary and Katri showed Leah her favorite romping grounds in the UP. The two nature nerds had many adventure finding the best blackberry patches and rock-hunting beaches.
Jakob Studtmann

Jakob and Zach despite claiming they are nothing alike, have quite a few of the same quirks according to Katri. Since Zach entered the family, Jakob and Zach have skied all over the country together and gone on many outdoor adventures. Zach and Jakob have become good friends and are excited to become brother-in-laws.
MacKenzie Kelly
Bridesmaid
Although both went to Michigan Tech, MacKenzie and Katri didn't become friends until after school, when their silly boys brought them together. They had many adventures romping around the mitten camping, cross-country skiing, and pond-skimming on skis with mixed success. MacKenzie is always up for a spontaneous adventure even if it means pushing her newly post-knee surgery friend through the Detroit Institute of the Arts to see Van Gogh.
Kurt Egelhaaf
Groomsman
Zach and Kurt were in the same freshman orientation group but it wasn't until they both lived in Hillside Apartments that they became friends. Zach's tallest friend, Kurt is responsible for making Zach exceptionally picky about his home music speaker system sounds. Zach and Kurt have shared mountain bike rides, ski trips, and camping trips together across the UP.
Marisa DeMario
Bridesmaid
Katri forced Marisa to be Katie and Katri's friend freshman year, after discovering she was also an ecology major and lived one floor above them. Convincing Marisa to be their friend wasn't too hard though as Katri and Marisa were both obsessed with the same nerdy nature things and often annoyed their soccer teammates by ID'ing birds mid-practice. They had many adventures trying to see the northern lights in the middle of the night, hiking and camping out west, and rock-hunting.
Jacob Kelly

Jacob or "Kelly" and Zach met through Kurt during sophomore year. During their time at Michigan Tech, they went on countless spring break ski trips together surviving and thriving during their many shenanigans. After college, Jacob, MacKenzie, Katri, and Zach went on many adventures across the Mitten - skiing, camping, and mountain biking.
Emily Zeitunian

Emily and Katri became friends through adventures they had together not playing soccer - from picking blackberries to hiking in the Keweenaw, and breaking sleds (and heads) on icy jumps. When a spot was vacated in their college house, Katri knew that Emily was the one who had to fill it and she fit right in with their shenanigans. As their resident space nerd, Emily was always there to point out stars or tell them the best space facts.
Jake Macey
Groomsman
Zach and Jake both taught snowboard lessons together at Mont Ripley during school where they became fast friends through their love of snowboarding. They have gone on many a ski trip together including 2 road trips out east stuffed into a Jeep Gladiator. Snowboarding isn't all these boys do because after the slopes close you'll see them at each other in a cutthroat Catan game.
Ellie Engdahl-Webber
Officiant
Ellie and Katri have been best friends since High School where they spent their days going to the dog park, drinking coffee, and sometimes misreading recipes. Ellie was Katri's first ski buddy and still is on yearly trips out west with the boys. Ellie is a youth minister in Denver, CO serving her local community with her giant heart. Zach and Katri couldn't think of a better person to officiate their wedding!
Corbin Johnson

Zach met Corbin through Jake at Michigan Tech where they became friends afterwards through their love of skiing. Corbin has also been one of the boys stuffed into a Jeep Gladiator on 2 road trips out east to ski. Always the goofiest goober, Corbin is always good for a laugh but watch out because he'll get everyone to gain up against if you're doing too well in Catan.
