Keweenaw Brewing Company
Our favorite brewery in the Keweenaw! Nowhere else will you get a craft beer for under $5 with great views of the Portage and Lift Bridge off their new patio. Katri's favorite is the Borealis Broo and Zach's a big fan of Point Trail Rye IPA.
Keweenaw Coffee Works
Our favorite place for coffee in the Keweenaw! KCW is catering our wedding, so if you want a preview of their amazing food, go enjoy breakfast or lunch at their shop!
Roy's Pasties & Bakery
Best pasties in the UP (in our opinion)! Also where we went to eat on our first official date.
Suomi Home Bakery & Restaurant
Best place in Houghton for breakfast. Try their Finnish french toast or the Pannukakku on the weekend!
Mont Ripley Ski Area
Where it all began! Zach and Katri both worked here as ski/snowboard instructors and in the rental shop. Mont Ripley holds a special place in our hearts and is the namesake of our dog. Take a hike to the top and get a great view of the Houghton/ Hancock area!
Portage Lake Golf Course At Michigan Tech
18-hole golf course at Zach and Katri's alma mater!
Calumet Golf Club

Waterfalls of Keweenaw County
There are 21 different named falls in Keweenaw County! Check out one or a couple at the link. A few of our favorites include Jacob's Falls, Hungarian Falls, and Douglass-Houghton Falls!
Calumet Waterworks Park
Classic Lake Superior rock beach and one of the only places we've seen the Northern Lights in the UP! Great place to brave the waters, collect rocks, and maybe stargaze at night.
Great Sand Bay
One of the only sand beaches on Lake Superior! Great place to tip the toes and if you're really feeling brave swim in the lake (it might be a tolerable temperature in September). Also just a few miles north of the Jampot on the scenic M-26 to Copper Harbor.
Copper Harbor
Our favorite small town in the Keweenaw! Cute little shops, a brewery, a couple of restaurants, and a view of Lake Superior. Also the best place to mountain bike in the UP!
Brockway Mountain Lookout
Scenic drive (or hike/bike!) to the top of Brockway Mountain overlooking the Keweenaw and Copper Harbor! Brockway Mountain Drive is an 8.8-mile drive or you can turn from Copper Harbor to M26. Can get busy at the top because of its popularity, but worth it for the views.
High Rock Bay
The very tip of the Keweenaw! Great views but does require a high-clearance vehicle to get out there, so find a friend with a jeep.
Bare Bluff Overlook
This is a really cool hike if you are up for the challenge, with great views of the Keweenaw! It is steep and over three miles, so it is not for the faint of heart. We went here together on one of our many-day trip hikes!
O Kun-de-kun Falls Hikes
We went here early in our hanging out days! There is a little book at the falls bridge that we wrote our names in (Feb of 2020).
East Bluff Bike Park And Campground
The newest mountain bike trails in the Harbor and where we will be after the wedding weekend riding our bikes! Come join us if you're into riding bikes fast in the woods.
