Airports

Phoenix (PHX) is likely the closest airport to fly at a reasonable price, located 3.5 hours from the Grand Canyon. PHX is an American Airlines hub, so this might be the least expensive option for many. Other flight options: Flagstaff (FLG), 1.5 hours away, but pricy and American Airlines only; Las Vegas (LAS) is 4.5 hours away; or for those who want a scenic drive from Albuquerque (ABQ) is 6+ hours away.

Camp at the Grand Canyon with the Bride & Groom!

For those who want the real experience, we have group campsites reserved for up to fifty people. As a couple who loves nature we will be camping (except for the wedding night of course!) and encourage everyone else to do the same! Campsites will be covered by the Bride & Groom; if you have a strong desire to camp but lack camping equipment or are unable to travel with equipment, please let us know so we can help coordinate this for you! So passionate are we about having a giant camping party that we have plans to help facilitate whatever is needed (within reason). With that said, if you have tent space to share and would be willing to help coordinate let us know! Come camp with us! Side note: please contact us to confirm you are camping! Camping Dates: Group Camping tentatively is available from Thursday prior to the wedding through Tuesday night.

Yavapai Lodge

We have rooms reserved under Group 10562M. We have secured an up to 3-night block inside the park, available for June 6-9 only; if you are interested in staying longer you will need to make your own accommodations, otherwise there is likely plenty of room for those who would want to camp! These rooms will only be available until March 1, 2019, due to high demand at the destination.

Red Feather Lodge

We have secured a second location located about 10-20 minutes outside the park. This block is up to 4-nights, from June 6-10. To book a room from our block, you will need to call and talk directly to Trish Samples in group sales in order to secure a room at the lower rate. Just let her know you will be part of the Allen-Erichsen wedding! These rooms will only be available until March 1, 2019, due to high demand at the destination.

Alternate Lodging Options

We have not secured any of these alternates, but would like to note them for flexibility. RV rentals can be achieved through many sources, such as Cruise America One we found was an RV share site, www.rvshare.com (kind of like an AirBnB for RV's); however, you would need to figure out how you would pick up your RV. Also, you will need to secure your own camp spot in the RV campground at the park, and we understand there may be a limit of trailer size and the spot availability will also be limited. There are other hotels available in Grand Canyon Village, Tusayan, Williams, and Flagstaff, AZ; however, these do require some travel and rates may not vary much from those at the canyon.
