Enjoy a paved trail that stretches about 2 miles along the Big Thompson River, connecting downtown Estes Park with the beautiful natural surroundings. You can access the Riverwalk at several points but starting at the Estes Park Visitor Center is a convenient option. As you walk along the trail, you’ll be treated to amazing views of the river, charming footbridges, and lots of public art. The trail is lined with benches allowing you to sit and enjoy the peaceful sound of the cascading river. Wildlife sightings, especially of elk and birds, are common and add to the fun experience. The Riverwalk also takes you through a variety of shops, restaurants, and galleries that are perfect for leisurely browsing or grabbing a bite.
