Kekaha Kai State Beach
There are 3 great beaches that are part of this state park. This is about 5 minutes north of the airport. Mahai'ula requires an AWD vehicle, or at least one with clearance. The road is a bit bumpy. Makalawena requires 4WD, or you can access it via the path from the North end of Mahai'ula. Bring good shoes for this hike (~1 mile). Kua Bay is the easiest to access, and has a paved road, parking, bathrooms, showers as well as lifeguards on duty.
