Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP no later than June 26, 2026.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our dress code is cocktail/formal. We kindly ask guests to wear a suit or an ankle, midi-, or knee-length dress or jumpsuit. Please, no jeans or sneakers, and please do not wear white/ivory/cream dresses or jumpsuits. Bridesmaids will be wearing shades of pink and orange. Please keep in mind that the ceremony will take place outside, so wear shoes that you feel comfortable walking through a grassy area in. We suggest choosing a block heel, wedge, or flat shoe over a stiletto heel. We don't want you ruining nice shoes or breaking any ankles!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unless your invite specifies that you have a +1, please assume that only the guest(s) named on your invitation are invited.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

As much as we love your little ones, we will not be including them in our wedding day. We encourage our guests to use this as an opportunity to have a date night!

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

The weather in northern Michigan can vary in August and is subject to change due to proximity to Lake Michigan. However, Traverse City is typically sunny and averages a high of 75 and a low of 62 on our date. We encourage guests to monitor the forecast and dress accordingly.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

There is plenty of free parking at the venue. Guests are welcome to leave cars overnight, but please note that they will all need to be picked up the next morning. Rideshares are not necessarily reliable outside of the main downtown area, so please book a ride ahead of time or have a designated driver.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony will be outdoors (weather dependent), and our reception will be indoor-outdoor.

Question

Is it okay to take pictures during the wedding?

Answer

We politely (but VERY firmly) ask that guests refrain from taking pictures or using cell phones during our ceremony. We hired an excellent photographer for a reason! But please take all the photos and videos you want during the reception, and make sure to tag us on social media so we can see the day through your eyes :)

Question

Who should I reach out to if I have other questions?

Answer

Please email Kara's maid of honor, Carly, with questions at carlyls2001@gmail.com.
