Best Western Plus NorWester Hotel & Conference Centre

This hotel is just a 9 minute drive from the Thunder Bay Airport for those out of town guest flying in, and the views of the mountains are beautiful! It is also very close to our wedding venue. The Fort William Country Club is only a 5 minute drive away. We have a block of 20 rooms (and can add more if needed) that are available for booking under "MacKay Offsite Wedding" for those who are interested. Please book by August 1st, 2025 if you are interested in staying. This booking is available the Friday September 26th and Saturday September 27th. We will also have a shuttle service for the day of the wedding, for the convenience of our out of town guests staying at the hotel, and for those in town guests that plan to stay at the hotel the night of the wedding!

Shuttle

Shuttle Service with Intrepid Bus Charters Inc.

September 27, 2025 2:15 pm - 12:45 am

A charter bus will be available as a shuttle from the Norwester Hotel to our venue at the Fort William Country Club starting at 2:15pm. The shuttle can fit up to 25 people and can make multiple trips for our ceremony time if necessary. The shuttle service will also be available after the reception to bring people from our venue back to the hotel starting at 10pm, with the last shuttle departing at 1245am, for those who want to keep the party going with us all night long!

Thunder Bay only has one airport to fly into, and as mentioned it is only 9 minutes from the Norwester Hotel. The most common airlines that fly into Thunder Bay from any part of Canada would be: Porter, Air Canada and WestJet.
