Learn how to pour the perfect pint and enjoy a cold one at Gravity Bar - with 360 views of Dublin! Recommended you book tickets in advance online as this is a popular tourist spot.
For all of Kaitlyn's fellow history fans - a must see, the Old Library and the Book of Kells which is amazingly intact. Trinity College is located in Dublin's city centre and an easy walk from any point in the city. It's located a stone's throw from Grafton St.
A given! Worth grabbing a drink and experiencing all the glory of Temple Bar - or at least a photo in front! Pro tip - visit during the day when there are less crowds and shorter lines. Also, drink prices increase the later you go (it's a bit of a tourist trap). Our favorite bar in Temple Bar area is the Norseman. It's located just down the road from Temple Bar - same vibe, great live music, and a bit less crowded.
A beautiful shopping destination located in a Georgian house with atrium style shops and cafes located inside. A favorite lunch stop inside Powerscourt for a delicious quick bite and coffee as you walk around is Pepperpot Cafe and Bakery.
The Conyngham family home since 1701, sits right along the River Boyne and is steeped in history. In modern times, the castle has also been home to rock concerts for acts including The Rolling Stones, U2, Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie, and Queen. The castle is a 15 minute walk from the venue. You can book a castle tour, stroll along the walking trail, enjoy afternoon tea, or enjoy an afternoon bev in the courtyard. PS - the distillery is located right next to the castle.
See whiskey innovation in action! Book a tour of the distillery, a tasting, or even a class. Tour includes cocktail, and Kaitlyn's fave (espresso martinis) are on the menu!
If you are thinking of traveling to the west coast pre/post wedding, we recommend booking a tour for the Cliffs of Moher, a drive through the Burren, exploring Galway city (much smaller than Dublin and quaint, old timey charm), and visiting the beautiful coastline and mountains of Connemara. If you choose to use Dublin as your base, we have enjoyed day trip tours with Wild Rover Tour Agency. There are multiple pick up locations throughout the city centre. For complete day trip options, view their site linked here.
