The Denton Square is very special to us! There's plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, and bars. Fun Facts: We had our first date, proposal, and engagement photos all at the Denton Square! (Grab a blanket and some cold drinks to relax on the courthouse lawn).
Barley & Board
One of our favorite restaurants in Denton! We celebrated here right after we got engaged. We recommend the brunch on the weekends! Our favorite dishes are the B&B Burger and the Chicken Goat Salad. $$ (8/1/20 OPEN)
Boca 31
Our absolute go-to restaurant! Latin Street Food cuisine. We frequent this place multiple times a week because it's so delicious. Next door find Armadillo Ale Works, an award-winning craft brewery, and Cryptozoology Coffee stop by to grab curb-side local craft beer and coffee. 2 blocks from the wedding venue! Boca OPEN until 4pm.
Beth Marie's Old Fashioned Ice Cream
Our favorite ice cream shop in DFW! They have one shop on the square and another near our hotels. We recommend you try our favorites! Julian love the Texas Doctor and Alice's favorite is the Bees Nees. OPEN!!!
Chestnut Tree Bistro
If you find Alice at breakfast there's a good chance she's here eating all the complimentary muffins and ordering a sandwich with beer bread. Only open until 3pm. Delicious food and a great Sunday brunch! (Take Out Only)
West Oak Coffee Bar
OPEN!! Enjoy a delicious cup of craft coffee at West Oak Coffee Bar on the Denton Square. Not in the mood for coffee? Try their chocolate milk on tap!
Austin Street Truck Stop
Austin Street Truck Stop is the best place to grab a quick bite at a local food truck and a drink from the surrounding bars! Bars are closed, but support local business and purchase curbside! Behind the truck stop you'll find The Bearded Monk, Denton's only craft-beer shop, and Denton County Brewing Company. Sit on the patios and grab some food!
Andy B's Bowl Social
Need something to do? Bowling, laser tag, food, arcade! Wear your mask, social distance, and bring hand sanitizer!
Paschall Bar
**CLOSED** Denton's only speak-easy cocktail bar tucked away above Andy's Bar on the Denton Square. Catch live jazz at 10pm on Sunday nights! If at capacity, it's worth the wait. Open everyday from 4p-2a.
Harvest House
**CLOSED** After the wedding we'll start the after-party fun here at Harvest House! They're also open everyday to grab a coffee, fresh juice, or a drink and relax on their patio. Pet friendly and great hang out spot. Fun Fact: Julian plays here a lot with a bunch of friends who'll be at the wedding. (Hi Guys!)
Steve's Wine Bar
**CLOSED** Stop by and visit with Steve and Karen, the owners, of Steve's Wine Bar to try some delicious wines. They have Live music almost every night for $5 cover!
Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Denton
**CLOSED** If you'd like a break from the heat, go catch a movie at the famous Austin based cinema chain Alamo Drafthouse! I recommend arriving 15 min before the movie starts to catch a themed preshow and order some food. Don't be late or they won't let you in. (If that does happen just head next door to Andy B's for bowling!) For those staying at the blocked hotels, there's a Cinemark on the other side of the highway as well.
