Located along Long Island Sound, this hiking trail is actually a wide unpaved trail that offers lovely views of the sound and the woods. Bluff Point is the largest undeveloped and protected area along Long Island Sound.
The Arboretum at Connecticut College is a Level III accredited arboretum with multiple gardens and natural grounds, perfect for a leisurely stroll on a late summer day
over 500,000 pre-loved books, reading nooks, rescue cats, and two very chonky goats. We love this place dearly.
World famous seafood shack located in the utterly darling village of Noank. a few things of note: it is BYOB. and if the line is preposterous (which is likely since this place is insanely popular), go 100 yards down the road to their sister restaurant Costello's. You can get the exact same lobster roll without the 1 hour wait in line.
Another seafood place in the village of Noank, Ford's is ever so slightly more upscale than the lobster shack of Abbott's, which is to say they use metal flatware instead of disposable utensils. Also BYOB.
This might be our favorite restaurant in the area that's not in downtown Mystic. Don't be dismayed by the exterior... or the interior for that matter. Order a "Get Your Hands Dirty" seafood steamed bags with the Mr. Crab seasoning, and thank us later.
Gambling, fine dining, shopping, people watching, and even a Kid's Zone to tucker out the littles.
Another casino (Foxwoods was the largest casino in the world for several years), and even more fine dining, etc etc
