Philadelphia Airport (PHL)

If you fly into PHL, Center City Philadelphia is accessible by both SEPTA Regional Rail and Lyft/Uber. The Airport Line of Regional Rail stops at each PHL terminal and runs every 20 minutes. It is a 20-30 minute trip from PHL to Center City Philadelphia. Our reserved hotel is a 3-minute walk from Jefferson Station. The trip costs $8.00 each way. A Lyft/Uber from PHL to Center City takes 30+ minutes and costs $25-$30.

Getting around Philadelphia

If you're coming in from out of town, we do not recommend renting a car. Traffic and parking are difficult in the city, while all the places on our recommend list are either walkable or easily accessible by public transit. Lyft and Uber both operate in Philadelphia with 3-4 minute average wait time in Center City.

Train

Public Transit

Most things in Center City are walkable. If you want to explore other areas of the city, SEPTA has two subway lines: - The Orange Line (also known as the Broad Street Line) runs north/south, with stops in South Philly. - The Blue Line (also known as the El or the Market Frankford Line) runs east/west, with stops in Old City, Fishtown, and West Philly.
