It is tradition in the Episcopal Church that baptism (of any denomination) comes before communion. However, it is also acknowledged that Jesus offered himself for all people. so you are invited to receive communion, even if you are not baptized. Gluten-free wafers are available at communion. Please let the clergy know if you would like one.
Yes! Nearly all of our station-style reception menu is gluten-free. You can also put together a vegetarian meal from the stations, and we'll have fish for the pescetarians in the crowd. We don't want to ruin all the menu surprises, but we will provide information on which items are gluten-free and vegetarian at the reception. If you have specific dietary questions, you can contact Ali at ali.shott@gmail.com.
There will be limited parking available in the lot behind Church of Holy Trinity, at the Southeast corner of 20th and Walnut Streets. Yards also has a parking lot. However, we recommend not driving, if at all possible, due to city traffic and the limited availability of parking spaces at both locations.
The Church is wheelchair accessible by way of a ramp in the breezeway between the Rittenhouse Hotel and the Church. Yards has an elevator to access the second floor, where the reception will be held. Someone at the front reception area of Yards can direct you when you arrive.
