Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre
One of the most stunning music venues ever, Red Rocks is a great place to take a hike - short or long, easy to difficult. Or just visit the venue - you'll get a good enough workout walking up to the amphitheater and then another workout going up the stairs. The view is gorgeous! And you can stop off in Morrison or Golden afterwards for some foothills charm.
Chautauqua Park
Go see the famous Flatiron's up close! There is a trail for all ability levels. Hike in the morning, walk around CU campus afterwards, then head to Pearl Street Mall for drinks, food, and shopping!
Mount Falcon Park
Get a good hike in with great views of Red Rocks. This trail is probably why Josh and Britt matched on Bumble. It is less than 5 miles from where Britt lived in Golden, so while Josh was training for the Leadville Heavy Half Marathon, his phone found Brittany. Not too steep with a lot of options for longer and shorter hikes.
Cherry Creek State Park
Great for enjoying nature while in Denver's backyard. You can boat or paddleboard, walk about, hike, bike, or play on the beach with the kids.
Rocky Mountain National Park
Established in 1915, and only an hour and a half drive north of Denver, Rocky Mountain National Park is astonishing. Hear Elk bugle, see Bison, go on hikes good for all ages and ability levels, or just drive around for epic views. Worth it if you have the time.
Pearl Street Mall
Boulder is a gem in Colorado. It is where Brittany went to undergrad - go Buffs! Walk the mall, shop the shops, enjoy the street performers, and get some good craft beers. A MUST see is the Boulder Book Store. A MUST stop is at Rio for rooftop margs.
Clear Creek Trail and Downtown Golden
Paved path next to Clear Creek in Golden. You can keep going up Clear Creek Canyon on a wide, flat dirt path, too. Mix this with a trip to Coors, and stop by Barrels and Bottles before leaving. Downtown Golden is also super cute to walk around. Check out D Deli for EXCELLENT sandwiches, Golden Sweets, Blue Moose Trading Company, and more.
River North Art District
Tons of craft beer, fun restaurants, Movement Climbing gym. Fun place to hang out if you are looking for beer gardens or low-key Denver vibes
Larimer Square
Where Denver began! This historic area has fun shops, cute restaurants, and make sure to look up on the buildings - you never know when you will see a cat or three, that will make you do a double take (real or not?).
Tattered Cover LoDo
LOVE THIS PLACE! It has a cute cafe in it, so get some coffee and go enjoy looking around for all kinds of books. Add this to a trip to Union Station and wandering 16th street for a fun urban hike around Denver. Josh and I used to walk from his apartment to this book shop, get coffee and then stop by Illegal Pete's for burritos on the way back home.
Barrels & Bottles Brewery
Our first date!! Fun spot in Golden with wine, beer, and snacks. You can bring in your own food!
Craft Beer Adventure
Denver is known for its craft beer. There are a ton of breweries we suggest checking out, and many more we don't know about! Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey
Pure Colorado whiskey, and it is GOOD! Book a tour and a tasting for just $15 in downtown Denver.
Coors Brewing Co
Go on a tour and see how one of the largest breweries in the world does it. The best Coors of your life will be on that tour - crisp, cold, Rocky Mountain Coors. Then enjoy the tasting room and the packaging room! After that walk around Golden, CO, along clear creek. Or, hike in Golden in the morning and end the day with a cold one at Coors.

Where Josh and I decided to buy our house! Yummy drinks and a variety of food options that will work for everyone Great local food hall that can be paired with a walk around Sloan's Lake.
Denver Milk Market
Great local food hall right in downtown Denver! Everyone can find something they like and still enjoy time together.
Avanti Food and Beverage
Collective eatery with fun rooftop patio, great views of Denver, super fun vibe, and lots of delicious food to choose from. Josh recommends the Arepas, Britt recommends the Sangria.

With more than 70k works of art, traveling exhibits, and roots in western history, stop by here to get a true feeling of Colorado!
Denver Botanic Gardens
GORGEOUS flowers. What a wonderful place to stroll and feel outside the city while still right in the heart of it!
Denver Museum of Nature & Science
Every Colorado kid went on multiple trips here for school. So fun, so interactive. Your kids - and even you - will enjoy yourself!
Children's Museum of Denver at Marsico Campus
Amazingly fun place for the kids to run around!
Downtown Aquarium
Over 15k sea animals, Sumatran Tigers known for their love of swimming, chance to swim with sharks - this is a great spot to take the kids or enjoy yourself. It is close to Confluence Park in Denver, so walk along the creek, or head across it to Union Station, Tattered Cover, 1Up Arcade, or catch a Rockies game if they are in town.
Denver Zoo
For those with kids, the Denver Zoo is phenomenal! Still in the city, plenty to see and experience!
Butterfly Pavilion
Great for kids! Walk around with butterflies, hold a tarantula (Rosie), and learn about the creepy crawlers. Less than 10 minutes from the wedding venue. Perfect for a rainy day with kids.
Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum
Wings over the Rockies is awesome for kids and the nerds in all of us. The museum is in Hangar #1 from the old Air Force base that was in Lowry before getting transferred over in 1994 for educational purposes.
