Things To Do
Hiking
There is hiking for all levels in the Mammoth Lakes area. Make sure to bring plenty of water!
Boating
Convict Lake has a marina with rent-able boats. If you’re interested in renting one, we’d recommend doing so early since it will be a holiday weekend.
Fishing
The lake is a natural alpine lake which is over 100 feet deep. There is good shoreline fishing, or you can take a boat out. You would need to get a fishing permit if you want to fish. Some places in the area may rent gear, but the shop at the resort only offers equipment for purchase.
Horseback Riding
Yosemite National Park
Yosemite. ‘Nuff said. However, please know that reservations are currently required to enter the park. Reservations open on May 12 for visits starting on September 1. If you plan to visit, make your reservation ASAP, as this weekend is bound to fill up quickly!
Dish Bistro
Amazing local chef/restaurant. We came here during our stay in Mammoth and loved it! Ask if they have the bison burger.
