Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Hannah Johnson and Jacob Duerst
We LOVE living in Minneapolis. There is so many fun things to do and great restaurants! We have put together a list of our favorites to help plan your weekend in the city. All of these recommendations are close to the hotels and right in our neighborhood!

Puttery

240 Hennepin Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55401

Who doesn't love mini golf? Who doesn't love a bar? This place is the best of both worlds! If you are looking for a fun activity to do in Minneapolis we recommend playing (and having) a round here.

Red Cow North Loop

208 North 1st Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55401

Red Cow is the restaurant that was directly below our first apartment in Minneapolis. A common phrase became "Oh shoot, we didn't get groceries for the week yet. Let's just order Red Cow." Jacob's fav is the Blues Burger and Hannah's is the Ultimate Burger sub for Sweet Potato Fries.

Bar La Grassa

800 North Washington Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55401

This place is SO delicious and the dining experience is incredible! However, if this is one you are wanting to check out, we recommend booking your reservation as far in advance as you can - they usually book out months in advance!

Thr3 Jack

729 North Washington Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55401

Want to practice your swing, but don't want to head to the course? This is a golf-simulator bar. What more could you want!

Edwards Dessert Kitchen

200 North Washington Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55401

Looking for a sweet treat? We LOVE Edwards Dessert Kitchen also known as "Eddy's" (we are probably the only people that call it that). Stop by for a little something sweet or a fun cocktail!

Pizza Lucé Downtown

119 North 4th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55401

Need a late night bite? Pizza Luce is open until 2:30am and has saved us many times after a night out. If you love ranch with your pizza, this place has the BEST ranch (certified by Hannah who is a ranch connoisseur).

Walk Along the Mississippi

Unfortunately the iconic Stone Arch Bridge will be closed for renovations. When the weather is nice, we walk on the Stone Arch Bridge almost every day. You can still walk on all the other walkways and trails in the St. Anthony Falls area along the Mississippi. It is a great opportunity to see the Downtown Minneapolis skyline and the Northeast Minneapolis skyline. There are many old buildings and lots of good history to take in.
