This hike is a 30 min drive from Ashford. It is a very short 4 mile out and back hike it moves through fields of wildflowers and gives you a great view of Mt. Rainier. From the reviews the road to the trailhead is pretty rough.

Paradise Inn is a historic lodge, it is a great place to grab a meal at or sit by the fireplace. Sunrise Day Lodge is the highest point on Mt. Rainier that you can reach by car. From Sunrise you can see five of the PNW volcanoes including: Mount Rainier, Mount Baker, Glacier Peak, Mount Adams and Mount Hood It has a visitor center, so you can learn all you want about Mt. Rainier or pickup a souvenir in the gift shop.

This hike is an easy 2.4 miles long and beautiful. The trailhead is easily accessible from the Paradise Inn parking lot which is 30 min from Ashford, Wa.

Experience the joy of horseback trail riding in the Mt. Rainier wilderness. The stables are a short 15 min drive from Ashford. Alder lake is a beautiful glacier fed lake. On a hot day the lake is a great place to have a picnic and take a dip.
