It has been a few unique and scary months for all of us. We are thankful that we are able to have our wedding (even if it’s not the one we envisioned). Your health is important to us. We want to let you know that we are implementing several measures to ensure your safety. We will have sanitization stations at our bar and buffet We will be providing disposable masks (you are welcome to bring your own if you like) the we expect our guest to wear when not eating. We will be providing sanitizer spray in communal spaces. We will be distancing guest tables at least six feet and seating family groups together as much as possible. Testing is redily available in Washington state. John and I will be getting tested before the wedding and highly recomend anyone who is concerned to get tested as well: https://www.doh.wa.gov/Emergencies/NovelCoronavirusOutbreak2020COVID19/TestingforCOVID19 We look to follow CDC and Washington State recommendations as they stand at the time of the event. Please check back for updates. Thank you!
Those who know the couple well know that they enjoy to spend as much time outdoors as possible. So, it is no surprise that John proposed to Maddie on the top of a mountain. The couple went on a backpacking trip to Mount Saint Helens over Labor day weekend. On day two of the trip they went on a hike to a better vantage of the volcano. On the way back down they stopped to take some pictures at a forest overlook. As Maddie pulled out her phone she heard John say her name. She turned around to face John who was down on one knee with a ring box (which may or may have not been visible the entire hike). John asked her to spend the rest of their lives together. Of course she said yes.
