Renaissance Chicago North Shore Hotel

This hotel is an 18-minute drive to the wedding venue and a 9-minute drive to the Hurley's house. There will be a shuttle to the wedding on Saturday leaving at 3:45 from the hotel and at the end of the reception bringing you either back to the hotel or on to the After Party. Travel Note

No Parking and Drop-Offs at Elawa Farm

Please note that individual parking and drop-offs are not available at Elawa Farm. Because of this, we highly encourage guests staying at the Renaissance Chicago Northshore Hotel to use our shuttle service from the hotel to the wedding and back at the end of the evening. (The guest shuttle picks you up at 3:45 from the hotel and brings you back at the end of the evening.) For guests who will be driving to the wedding (or will be driven there in a taxi or a shared ride like Uber), please make your way to the parking lot at St. James Lutheran Church at 1380 Waukegan Road in Lake Forest. From there, you will be shuttled to Elawa Farm and back to your car at the end of the evening.

Train

Metra Train - Union Pacific North Line

For those craving a train ride, the Metra is a quick way to get from downtown Chicago (or anywhere on the north shore) to the Hurley house in Winnetka if you hit the timing right. The same train also gets you to the Lake Forest stop, where you will be within a 10-15 minute drive to the wedding venue. Just be aware that trains don't run frequently after hours.

The "L" Train - CTA

The "L" trains (what we call the subway) will take you all around Chicago. The blue line can take you cheaply and easily (and traffic-free) from O'Hare Airport to downtown Chicago. The stop furthest north is "Linden" on the purple line. That stop is about a 10min drive from the Hurley's House.
