The closest and easiest airport. Take an Uber/Lyft or BART into and around town - No need to rent a car, unless you want to!
Flight
The Oakland airport is a little further away, but you can easily take BART into the City. Note that driving over the Bay Bridge can come with a hefty amount of traffic depending on the time of day, and will cost extra in an Uber/Lyft due to bridge fees. We generally do not recommend flying into San Jose due to distance and traffic, but San Jose is also an option.

Hotel
There are so many wonderful hotels in San Francisco! Since our wedding events are not based at a hotel, please feel free to stay wherever you would enjoy. We recommend staying near Union Square or the Ferry Building, or even the Marina (and avoiding the Tenderloin and Civic Center areas). Daly City can be a hike depending on traffic and won't feel very "San Francisco", but is an easy location following the reception. If you need any advice on specific neighborhoods in San Francisco, we are happy to help!
Travel Note
If you would like to rent a car, please note that parking in downtown San Francisco can be difficult and expensive (The hotel where our wedding block will be does have parking available with a discounted rate). No car needed though! Take the BART (subway) from either airport to within walking distance of most hotels, and then use Uber or Lyft to get around town. Please note that the ceremony and reception are roughly a 30 minute drive apart. Please plan a safe ride after the reception!
