María and Jet started as co-workers at a Pilates studio. They knew they were meant to be friends when Jet caught a glance of María's phone screen and saw controversial rock singer Matty Healy staring back at her. They were dancing hand in hand at a 1975 concert a few weeks later, and they've been dancing together ever since.
Addie Kennedy
Best Woman
Addie and Lennon met on the bus ride home in the fifth grade. Addie had Pokémon Emerald on her Gameboy, and their gameplay was the building blocks of a lifelong friendship. They spent much of their shared childhood sitting on Lennon's porch, telling each other secrets and promising each other to secrecy using what they called a "porch swear." They've seen each other through every life transition and have sworn to stay with each other through it all.

Jet's sister-in-law, Elana, came into Jet's life when she started dating Conor, Jet's older brother, in 2017. Well, actually, Conor kept Elana's identity a secret until about 2019, since he was afraid his insane family might risk his chance at his dream girl. But luckily for us, Elana is the best sister a girl could inherit.

Conor is Jet's brother! Lennon met him soon after he started dating Jet. At first, he thought Conor was speaking another language (he speaks almost exclusively in Counterstrike and gambling terms). But after much mutual translation, the two now share a love for indie music and a deep, undying love (and disappointment with) New York Mets Baseball.
Emily Dempsey

One of three women you'll hear Jet refer to as her "sisters," despite having no blood or marital relations. Emily and Jet can't remember when they met, because they were 10 and 12, and once they had, there was no turning back. They are, along with Emily's little sisters, Goldey and Brooke, the best definition of soul sisters.
Simon Hu

Simon is Lennon's older brother and his first friend. All of Lennon's interests in music, football, and video games were preceded by Simon. The two spend their visits together now singing folk music and talking fantasy football strategy. You'll recognize him as Lennon's brother by his laugh, which is similarly boisterous to Lennon's.
Ashlon Lusk

Ashlon and Jet met at a party, dressed like Cinderella and a Knight. Their bond was solidified over matcha and the discovery that they both adored, and wrote poems about, Strawberry Street in Richmond. They spend their time together going to yoga and painstakingly writing their blogs so they may one day open a coffee-shop-book-store-Pilates-studio. (While also being super famous writers.)
Luca Jerndal
Groomsman
Luca is one of many of Lennon's bandmates. Then, it was a band called Velvet Elephant where Lennon ripped on ukulele and Luca crooned. While the days of Elephant have passed, their friendship is still enlivened by their shared love of disc golf. He's the guy at the wedding Lennon will exclusively refer to as "BUBALUBA" in a really bad Swedish accent.
Amanda McDowell

Amanda was one of Jet's Pilates clients. After one particularly long post-class convo, they agreed to get drinks at their favorite bar down the street. What started as a wholesome friendship of book recommendations and workout classes has evolved into a much richer one, full of day-raves and dancing till their toes go numb.
Luke Romero

Lennon and Luke first met in Kindergarten, and from playing pee-wee soccer to junior prom, they helped one another survive public school. When together, they lose track of time, often staying awake till the early hours of the morning, playing video games, tossing the frisbee or running amok.
Jacob Todd

Jacob and Lennon became fast friends during their freshman year at VCU. But really, their friendship deepened when they were roommates the following year. Jacob, the Martha Stewart-like hostess with the mostest, and Lennon, the enthusiastic taste tester. Lennon survived sophomore year subsisting on Jacob's meals. Then, they spent many nights watching Drag Race and Golden Girls. Today, they love to reminisce over a great meal and obsess over Broadway divas.
