What started as a celebration for the soon-to-be dental graduates of the 2023 class turned into something neither of them expected. After meeting and correcting Luis on how to pronounce his name, sparks began. They eventually parted ways until Luis saw her leaving and asked for her number, suggesting they grab dinner sometime that week. Eagerly, she agreed and gave it to him. Just seconds later, he called, asking, "What do you think of getting food now?" Without hesitation, Jennifer agreed. During their time together, he asked if she wanted to go to a magic show that evening, and she said yes. But as he was about to pick her up, she got nervous and quickly decided to hang out with her friends instead (little did she know, he was proactive about it and had already bought her a ticket). She was hoping they’d cross paths again during the Vegas trip, even after backing out of the magic show but they didn't. To her surprise he kept texting her, two days later, Luis invited her to a bachata class, and they discovered they lived just two floors apart. The evening was full of laughter, silliness, and easy conversation. The chemistry was pretty undeniable—it felt so natural, like they’d known each other forever. Then, casually, Luis mentioned he had a two-year contract in Alaska. Well, there goes that, Jennifer thought.
