FAQs

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” or if your RSVP says "Guest Name Unknown" then yes. If not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Question

Can I bring my kid(s)?

Answer

While we do love your little ones, we ask that only kiddos who are named on the invitation attend the wedding.

Question

Can I edit my RSVP after I've submitted it?

Answer

Yes! Just go back to the RSVP tab and change whatever you need to change.

Question

Is this an indoor or an outdoor event?

Answer

The ceremony will (weather permitting) take place outdoors, with an indoor cocktail hour, seated dinner, and reception to follow. As we are staying at the same venue for the ceremony and reception, you will be able to step outside if you need some fresh air at any point during the reception.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Ideally it'll be 75°F and sunny, but since we haven't figured out how to control the weather (yet) we cannot say for sure. Early September weather in Southern Wisconsin usually looks like low 60s- mid 70s during the day, and cooling down a bit more at night. Rain is certainly possible, but typically we don't get a *ton* of it around the time of our wedding. If we do have rain, our ceremony will be moved indoors. If anyone has a tried and true method of preventing rain, please share it with us!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We want you to be comfortable and relaxed at our wedding, so our dress code is dressy casual/semi-formal. Outfit options include button-down shirts, dress pants, and dress shoes, and jumpsuits, tea dresses, and knee-length dresses. Our ceremony is outdoors, so please keep that in mind when choosing your footwear- I'd hate to have to laugh at you if your stilettos are sinking into the ground. We also ask that you avoid wearing white, navy, and burgundy, as those are colors being worn by the bride, bridesmaids, groomsmen, and our parents.

Question

What does your wedding day timeline look like?

Answer

4:00-4:15pm Guests arrive at venue 4:30-5:00pm Ceremony 5:00-6:00pm Cocktail Hour 6:00pm-7:00pm Seated Dinner 7:00pm-11:30pm Reception

Question

Is there parking available at your venue?

Answer

Yes! Not only is there a huge parking lot, our venue offers overnight parking for those of us that may be too... tired... to drive themselves back to their hotel. We encourage you to take advantage of the overnight parking, we just ask that you pick your car up by 10am the next morning.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We would prefer to have everyone be present and in the moment with us during our ceremony. For this reason, we have elected to have an unplugged ceremony. We have two incredibly skilled photographers that will be hard at work capturing everything during the ceremony. As soon as we get the pictures back from them, we are more than happy to share with everyone! Before the ceremony begins, please feel free to take selfies with other guests or pictures of your families as you want. When the ceremony begins, our officiant will ask that everyone puts their phones on silent. At the end of the ceremony, before the recessional, we will have a minute or so for a photo op so that guests can take a photo of our (second) first kiss and any other pictures you were hoping to take. After the ceremony, feel free to resume taking as many pictures as you'd like!

Question

Can I post my pictures on social media?

Answer

We ask that any pictures you take of the bride and groom live in your phone until we have a chance to post pictures ourselves. Don't worry, we're so excited to share our pictures as well, so we won't keep you waiting too long! Any pictures you take of yourself, your families, and our other guests, you are more than welcome to post on social media as soon as you'd like (as long as you have permission from everyone else in the picture, that is.)

Question

How do I contact you if I have any additional questions?

Answer

The best way to contact us is either to text us directly, or to email us at our wedding email (plagerwedding.2023@gmail.com)
