Flight
Minneapolis-St.Paul airport is 2.5 hours or so from the venue. If you get your tickets early, you should be able to get really reasonable prices.
Flight
La Crosse is approximately 30 minutes from the venue. The airport is a bit further. This is a small airport, so it'll likely be more pricey than MSP.
Travel Note
Parking is limited at our venue. We ask-- no, beg!-- you to consider carpooling. To make this easy on us all, we have created a group carpooling page to help facilitate the coordination of rides. Check it out! If you are driving and have space for a passenger, add yourself as a driver. If you are in need of a ride, add yourself to the passenger waiting list or to an existing carpool. Here's the link: https://www.groupcarpool.com/t/um9wgn It would be especially helpful to us if you are coming down from the Twin Cities and would be willing to coordinate with folks flying into MSP that will be needing a ride to and from the event. We may also need a few volunteers to pick folks up from Winona, if people choose to take the train/shuttle. If your directions have you passing through Winona to get to the venue, please check the website to see if anyone is needing a ride! Remember, coordinating rides takes a little extra time, but is well worth it!
Train
The Amtrak stops in Winona, if you've got a little time to spare and are looking for an adventure! Enjoy sitting back and letting others do the navigating for you. Please note that the Amtrak has a reputation for being delayed on certain routes -- plan accordingly!
Travel Note
This shuttle can get you from either airport (above) to Winona, where the carpooling gets easier! This is one option that we've used in the past; buses and other shuttle services are also available.
House Or Rental
Spend the weekend roughing it under the stars with us! We are planning to set up camp in the field near Zephyr's Community House. Cluster close or give yourself a little extra breathing room-- its up to you! Tents (or similar low-impact shelters) only, please. Need a tent to borrow? A place to park your RV? Read FAQs.
House Or Rental
A few of our neighbors have expressed interest in renting out their guest spaces to our visitors. A few others are willing to share their yards if you'd rather pop a tent somewhere closer to modern plumbing. Please contact Bailey (bailey.m.morris@gmail.com) to discuss availability. Priority will be given to those with special circumstances (small children, health needs, etc) and will be first come, first serve.
Hotel
Jeff and Bailey will be focusing on putting people up at Zephyr Valley Community Cooperative, rather than reserving blocks of rooms at hotels for our guests. While we are hopeful that you'll be able to find a place to stay that suits you at Zephyr, we also realize that this is your getaway, too! If you'd prefer to explore your options off the farm, there is a plethora to choose from. The closest towns to our venue are Winona and Rushford, where you can find AirBNB or Couchsurfer hosts, hotels, motels, a student-dorm-turned-summer-hostel, RV campgrounds, and more.
House Or Rental
Zephyr's Community House will be a very busy place throughout the weekend-- the hub of our event! It contains a kitchen, bathroom, and indoor gathering space. If you'd like to reserve the guest space for the weekend, contact Bailey (bailey.m.morris@gmail.com). It will not be a very private space, but it is indoors, if that's all you're looking for! Please note, in case of severe weather, we will be encouraging campers to seek shelter in the Community House... things might get a bit cozy in that instance!
House Or Rental
This is Jeff and Bailey's home, which will be available in case of severe weather. It may also be available for last-minute special-circumstance housing. Nothing fancy, but we do have two futons and floor space. We do have cats--people with allergies be warned!
