We are so happy that you want to share your wonderful photos with us from the wedding. You can do upload your photos or videos for the next 12 months (until April 3, 2027) at https://share.picturesqr.com/zonyzd/ Thank you so much for coming and sharing this with us.
The bride and groom are celebrating their vows through their combined love of Dungeons and Dragons. D&D is how we first bonded, and it is how we want to write our first chapter together. For those unfamiliar with D&D, it is a fantasy role-playing game where players create characters and immerse themselves in a fantasy world controlled by the Dungeon Master. Each player creates their characters based upon a selection of races and classes, making each character unique to the player. D&D draws inspiration from several famous fantasy works such as the Lord of the Rings trilogy, ancient mythology, classic monster stories, etc.
It means that most of the bride and groom's party will be dressed up in costumes as their characters. We would love it if you joined us in creating some of that magic by personifying your D&D character and dressing up as well! This means if you feel comfortable dressing up as an elf who has come from the elven city of Rivendell, or a tiefling from Avernus, then by all means, feel free to dress up as that character.
No, you don't have to. We understand dressing up isn't for everyone, and that's okay! Whether it's because of travel limitations or your simply uncomfortable with dressing up, we get it. We just ask that you dress up in formal attire instead to help celebrate the occasion.
We ask that if you are dressing as a character, please dress in adventurer's formal clothes. This means most of the body should be covered and that you should look like you've been invited to the gala at the palace. We understand that this leaves things open-ended, and we'd like to keep it that way. Have as much fun with it as we are! But please, no white dresses. Only the bride will be wearing white.
Yes. As this is a formal event, we do ask that costumes be adventurer's formal wear. As previously mentioned, this means the body should be mostly covered, and your attire should be clean and presentable, not dirty or damaged. As for your character, there are some D&D race restrictions. The below list is the acceptable list of D&D races you can come as: - Human, Dwarf, Elf, Fairy, Genasi, Gnome, Goliath, Half-Elf, Halfling, Satyr, Tiefling, Tabaxi, and Vulpin If there is a D&D race and/or a specific character that you would like to come as, and it is not included in the above list, please email us ahead of time with your idea.
We ask that all guests leave their swords, axes, bows and arrows, daggers, whips, javelins, crossbows, guns, or any other weapons at home. This is a peaceful union, and we do not expect any battle to take place where one would need their weapons to fight.
The numbers associated with the wedding party represents their character's stats. How capable is the character in completing certain tasks? They range from 0 to 20, making 10 an average score. STR - Strength, how physically strong is your character? DEX - Dexterity, how nimble is your character? CON - Constitution, how durable is your character? INT - Intelligence, how smart is your character? WIS - Wisdom, can your character make good decisions? CHA - Charisma, how social is your character? Here is a fun example using a tomato: Strength is being able to crush a tomato. Dexterity is being able to dodge a thrown tomato. Constitution is being able to eat a rotten tomato. Intelligence is knowing a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is knowing not to put a tomato in a fruit salad. And Charisma is being able to sell a tomato-based fruit salad.
