Yes! There will be optional shuttles for guests staying at the Blu-Tique Hotel and The Courtyard Marriott Hotel in downtown Akron. The 'Thomas Limousine' buses will depart for Stan Hywet promptly at 2:30 pm and 3:00 pm respectively. Please keep in mind the busses will need to be full for each departure to accommodate all of our out-of-town guests, so we kindly ask that you try to get on the shuttle that was provided in your hotel bag. Following the ceremony, the buses will shuttle guests to the reception taking place at Portage Country Club, which is just up the street. The buses will do return runs from the reception venue to both the Blu-Tique and the Courtyard Marriott Hotel beginning at 9:30 pm and will run on a continuous shuttle every 15-20 minutes.
Yes! There is plenty of parking at both sites for our ceremony and reception. We also will be offering complimentary valet parking at the Portage Country Club reception venue for our guests!
We're registered at a few different places! You can learn more by visiting our "Registry" page on the website.
We would love to have you dress up with us! We are planning a semi-formal dress code wedding - gentlemen, suits and ties are encouraged; ladies, cocktail dresses or gowns are great. No jeans, please!
We included a few hotel options, which are on our "Travel" page that include discounted rates for our wedding block. Two hotels are located in downtown Akron and the other is located in Fairlawn, which is around ten minutes from downtown. If you're calling to book a room, be sure to mention the "May Lutz Wedding" to receive the discounted rate when booking.
Of course! We definitely will work with the caterer to accommodate food allergies. We will include this question as an option when you go to RSVP for the wedding, but if you forgot to mention it, please don't hesitate to let us know!
The formal invitation will be addressed to all members invited to join us. When you RSVP on the website, all members of your party will show up with your name!
You will be dearly missed! If you cannot make it to our wedding, please let us know as soon as possible, and be sure to RSVP "no" so we can plan accordingly. Thank you!
