"The Night Before" Welcome Party

We would love to see everyone before the big day! Feel free to swing by Friday evening once you arrive in Akron to grab a beer with us. We'll have a private room in the brewery and there will be light hors d'oeuvres.

Wedding Ceremony

Semi-Formal: Tuxes and gowns are not necessary. Suits and ties for gentlemen and cocktail dresses or gowns for ladies are welcome. Please, no denim.
The grounds at Stan Hywet are mostly paved, but you may be walking on some grass that can be soft! We will also have golf carts in the parking area to transport individuals who'd prefer a lift to the ceremony spot. While you are here, we encourage you to enjoy the beautiful grounds of Stan Hywet! Optional transportation will be available to shuttle guests from the Blu-Tique and Courtyard Akron Downtown Hotels to the ceremony at Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens and to the reception at Portage Country Club. Join us for drinks, dinner, and plenty of dancing following our ceremony, featuring Bluewater Kings Band. Cocktail hour will start at 5 PM following the ceremony on the outdoor terrace at Portage Country Club. You are welcome to enjoy the grounds of Stan Hywet after the ceremony if you wish! Optional transportation from Stan Hywet to the country club will be available for guests.
