We are getting married!

Jess and Jared first met during their emergency medicine residency training at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. What began as co-workers turned into a friendship and it wasn’t until Jared moved to Philadelphia for fellowship that their friendship evolved into something more. The first two years of their relationship were long distance, filled with short visits, phone calls, and a lot of time on I-76. After Jess completed residency and Jared finished fellowship, they finally moved together to Southwest Michigan. With moving to Michigan Jared was finally able to convince Jess, a Florida girl, to admit that Michigan does, in fact, have better beaches and the winters are not “that bad”. Jared proposed on one of their favorite beaches in Traverse City on the first day of summer. Despite the pouring rain that day, Jess said yes!! Over the years, their relationship has been full of adventure. They’ve reached the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro, trekked through the jungles of Colombia, and explored numerous national parks. Traveling, hiking, concerts, and sporting events are some of their favorite memories together. Along the way, they’ve also introduced each other to their individual passions. Jared now has an understanding of the complex world of Taylor Swift Easter eggs and obsession with Fudge the cat. While Jess is now annoyed that she genuinely stresses about the Detroit Lions. Their journey has been filled with laughter, love, and adventure, and they’re so excited to celebrate the next chapter with all of you!
