Here's what to expect during our wedding weekend. We can't wait to celebrate with you!

Friday, August 31, 2018

Welcome Drinks

5:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Berry Farm
Bideford, England EX39 6DA, United Kingdom

Casual - be comfortable!

We want to say hello and welcome you all before the weekend festivities begin, so drop by Berry Farm from 5:00PM onwards to enjoy some nibbles and drinks, and soak in the view! Berry Farm's origins date back to medieval times, but the house was enlarged and completely remodelled in the 1760s to provide the home for the land agent of the neighbouring Hartland Abbey Estate. Workmanship was to exceptionally high standards for the time, including fine paneling to many of the rooms. The house remained remarkably untouched until acquired by the present owners who undertook its painstaking and sympathetic restoration in 2006/7. Perched on a hill there are fantastic views into the valley and out to the sea!

Our Church Ceremony

2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Parish Church of St Nectan, Hartland
Hartland, England EX39 6DU, United Kingdom

Country wedding - formal, but fun!

It is here at the Parish Church of St. Nectan's that we will officially tie the knot! St. Nectan's is known as the Cathedral of North Devon and dates mainly from the 14th century, although there are remnants of the original church built in 1055. This church holds special significance for Iain's family - his Dad, Ged, is the Church Warden, and opens and closes the church everyday.

Our Reception

Sat, Sep 1, 2018, 4:00 pm - Sun, Sep 2, 2018, 1:00 am

Country wedding - formal, but fun! The grass can be a bit soft, so you might want to rethink stilettos!

Just down the road from St. Nectan's stands Hartland Abbey where we will have a marquee reception. There will be canapés and drinks from 4PM, before we sit down for a scrumptious family-style feast at 6PM. The tunes will be blasting out until the early hours, so be sure to bring your dancing shoes! Built for the Augustinian monks in the 12th century, Hartland Abbey was the last abbey in England to be dissolved by Henry VIII and was given to the Keeper of his Wine Cellar at Hampton Court, Mr. Abbott. From the Abbott family it has descended to the present owners, the Stucleys, who still live there. The Abbey and its gardens are open to visitors and is used as a filming location for many movies and TV shows, including the Golden Globe Award winning 'The Night Manager'.
