Burlington International Airport is probably the easiest to fly into and most convenient to travel from once you arrive. The airport is about an hour drive to Basin Harbor. Luckily there is little to no traffic in rural Vermont, so you should be able to cruise along nicely to get there.

To book your reservation please call Basin Harbor directly (as opposed to booking online) and reference the Shields Kaufman Wedding. Please note that lodging rates are significantly reduced for our wedding block and are not available through online bookings. We are holding a limited number of rooms in the block, so we highly recommend making your reservation as soon as possible to guarantee your accommodation. Basin Harbor offers a variety of lodging options, so please speak with the customer service representative about the various options to best suit your group, depending upon your preferences and needs. If you plan to share a unit/cottage with another group, please inform the reservations representative. While our wedding events are for adults only, your children and loved ones are welcome to join you for a weekend getaway in VT. If you do bring your kids, please arrange your own babysitting accommodations or call Basin Harbor to inquire about on-site options.

If you are unable to get a room reservation at Basin Harbor, we recommend finding a local airbnb or Bed & Breakfast. Just be aware that accommodations in Vergennes are limited.

Hotels in Burlington, VT

Burlington is where you can find an array of hotel options. If you choose to stay in Burlington, we suggest Hotel Vermont, Hilton Burlington Lake Champlain, or the Hilton Garden Inn Burlington Downtown. You will have to arrange for your own transportation, as we are not providing transportation to or from Basin Harbor.
