Hotel & Travel

Hotel

the Gibson Inn

51 Ave. C, Apalachicola, FL

We've reserved a block of rooms at the Gibson Inn for the wedding weekend. To book, call the front desk directly at 850-270-2190 and reference the Ellison-Pearce Wedding arriving 4/30/2027. (Booking online won't get you the group discount, or count towards our block). Discounted rates are available Friday through Sunday, and shoulder dates can be added to your stay if you'd like to make a longer trip of it! Rooms are available in two buildings. The Main Inn has the historic character the Gibson Inn is known for. The Plaza is a newer building by the pool, designed to match that same "new old Florida" feel. Both are great options, but here's our suggestion: want a quieter night, book in the Main Inn. If you're planning to close down the after party, the Plaza is a better fit. Several room types are available in each building (options with and without porches, king and queen configurations, etc.). You can browse room types online. If you have a preference, request it when you call — but don't wait too long, as specific types are limited! PLEASE NOTE the deadline to book is MARCH 18th.

House Or Rental

Local Inns & Air BnB

There are several lovely boutique inns throughout the downtown of Apalachicola that you can find online and are quite close to the Gibson. There are also several Air BnB options.

Hotel

Riverwood Suites

29 Avenue F, Apalachicola, FL 32320

We don't have a block here but we're shouting it out as a cute option as far as local inns! Space is very limited.

Hotel

Best Western Apalach Inn

249 U.S. 98, Apalachicola, FL 32320

A classic and another solid option, but a bit further afield. It's about 1.5 miles from the Gibson, so plan accordingly. There are several bike/e-bike and golf cart rental options in town.

Travel Note

A note on Pets

Apalachicola in general is very dog friendly! Most of the hotels have rooms that allow pets, there is a dog park in town, and leashed dogs are allowed on St. George Island, the closest beach, year-round.
