FAQs

Question

When is the rsvp deadline?

Answer

Kindly RSVP by March 5th.

Question

Can I bring a + 1?

Answer

Check your envelope! If your invitation is addressed to you "and guest," then you have a plus one, and can let us know who you're bringing on your RSVP. If your name appears alone, we’ve reserved a seat just for you.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

With the exception of immediate family and children in the wedding party, our celebration is adults-only. We know that may take some extra planning — we appreciate your understanding and hope you'll enjoy a grown-up weekend away!

Question

Do I need to rsvp for individual events or just the wedding?

Answer

You only need to RSVP for the wedding, however please feel free to RSVP to the Welcome Party if you know your plans, so we can get a sense of how many are attending. If you do not RSVP for the Welcome Party in advance, you are still 100% welcome to come.

Question

Are the Welcome Party and After Party open to all guests?

Answer

Yes! The Welcome and After Parties are open to everyone. We will also be out and about in town the week before the wedding — if you're there early please let us know and we'll loop you in on other fun activities we'll be doing. The more the merrier!

Question

How do I book a room in the hotel block?

Answer

See the "Travel" page for details on how to make a reservation in our room block at the Gibson. PLEASE NOTE that the last day to make a reservation is MARCH 18.

Question

Is there parking available? / What airport should I fly into?

Answer

If you're driving, there is street parking on the block(s) around the Gibson, and a gravel parking lot immediately west of the Inn at the intersection of 4th street and Avenue C. When you drive in on the big bridge, you'll pass the Inn on your left- make the first left after the Inn (Avenue D) and a left again on 4th street. The parking lot will be on your right at the end of 4th. Tallahassee will be the closest major airport, which is about an hour and forty minutes away. Reach out to Jana at 678-458-0097 if you'd like to try and arrange a carpool buddy!

Question

Is it walkable / do I need a car?

Answer

It is super walkable, a big reason we chose Apalachicola! If you're staying at the Gibson, once you're there, you're set! Shopping, restaurants, and parks abound! The Gibson does have golf carts available for rent, and free bikes for guests. There are other bike rental services in town, including e-bikes. If you select accommodations on the other side of town it's about 1.5 miles away so you may want a car, golf cart, or bike. The closest recommended beach is St. George Island, which is about a 30-minute drive away.

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is Cocktail attire for the wedding. Keep in mind the ceremony will be in a grassy courtyard (FYI for shoes). The weather can be variable in early May in Apalachicola so keep your eye on the forecast and bring what you need to be comfortable! We will mostly be outside.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

Please, no photos during the ceremony! We will have a professional photographer and prefer our guests be present with us in that moment.

Question

Are there dietary accommodations at dinner?

Answer

There will be a spot on the RSVP where you can indicate dietary accommodations.

Question

Can you recommend things to do and places to eat?

Answer

See the "Things to Do" tab recommendations on places to eat, shop, etc.

Question

Who can I contact with questions?

Answer

First, poke around on the website! Lots of great info here. Before the wedding, please feel free to reach out to Jana at 678-458-0097 or Tyler at 404-510-4075.
