If you're driving down from Atlanta, this is a great pit stop almost exactly halfway down! White Oak Pastures is a sixth-generation family farm built around regenerative land management and humane animal husbandry. Their cafe outside the General Store serves grass-fed burgers and pastured poultry — as farm-to-table as it gets!
The Gibson has two onsite eateries. The Franklin Cafe is a sit-down option in the Main Inn open daily 8am to 9pm for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Great for an unhurried meal catching up with friends or family. Sunshine's Kitchen is counter service in the Plaza building by the pool, open Friday and Saturday 11:00 am - 6:00 pm. Think sandwiches and coffees + cocktails! Better if you're looking for a quick bite.
A cute funky breakfast food truck running (roughly) daily from (roughly) 6:30am to 11am. Order at the walk-up window and enjoy the water view!
A brewery - nuff said

Lovely boardwalk out to the marsh, flat and largely shaded. Bring your binoculars!
Battery Park is a short walk from the Gibson, and Lafayette Park is 0.5 miles further down the road. There are several walkable piers along the way, and some beautiful homes to admire as you go!
There are several small museums: the Orman House and Apalachicola Maritime Museum.
Market, Commerce, and Water street have shopping abound!
