White Oak Pastures Farm & General Store

101 Church Street, Bluffton, GA 39824

If you're driving down from Atlanta, this is a great pit stop almost exactly halfway down! White Oak Pastures is a sixth-generation family farm built around regenerative land management and humane animal husbandry. Their cafe outside the General Store serves grass-fed burgers and pastured poultry — as farm-to-table as it gets!

The Franklin Cafe + Sunshine's Kitchen

51 Avenue C, Apalachicola, FL 32320

The Gibson has two onsite eateries. The Franklin Cafe is a sit-down option in the Main Inn open daily 8am to 9pm for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Great for an unhurried meal catching up with friends or family. Sunshine's Kitchen is counter service in the Plaza building by the pool, open Friday and Saturday 11:00 am - 6:00 pm. Think sandwiches and coffees + cocktails! Better if you're looking for a quick bite.

The Biscuit Factory

254 Water Street, Apalachicola, FL 32320

A cute funky breakfast food truck running (roughly) daily from (roughly) 6:30am to 11am. Order at the walk-up window and enjoy the water view!

WaterCraft Brewing

17 Avenue D, Apalachicola, FL 32320

A brewery - nuff said

Apalachicola Chocolate & Coffee Company

75 Market Street, Apalachicola, FL 32320

A downtown staple worth stopping into. They make their chocolates, gelato, and fudge in-house, and roast their coffee on site — it's a good spot for a morning coffee or an afternoon treat while you're wandering around town.

Saint George Island

Saint George Island, FL 32328

This is the closest beach we'd recommend, and St. George is a cute little town to explore in its own right!

Scipio Creek Boardwalk

Apalachicola, FL 32320

Lovely boardwalk out to the marsh, flat and largely shaded. Bring your binoculars!

Park Stroll

Battery Park is a short walk from the Gibson, and Lafayette Park is 0.5 miles further down the road. There are several walkable piers along the way, and some beautiful homes to admire as you go!

Museums

There are several small museums: the Orman House and Apalachicola Maritime Museum.

Shopping

Market, Commerce, and Water street have shopping abound!
