When selecting and booking a hotel or rental, consider selecting a place within a 3–5-mile radius of our reception venue (zip code is 20017). If you're outside of that radius, plan accordingly. Traffic in D.C. is pretty congested, which means traveling just a few miles can take longer than you think!
Travel Note
Ride Share & Traffic
If you're traveling to D.C. without a car and unfamiliar with the Metro train system, we recommend downloading a ride share app (e.g., Uber, Lyft) and using it to get around. Out-of-towners can find the traffic patterns difficult to navigate. So, sit back, and let the professionals take care of it! If you do plan to drive, and are unfamiliar with the traffic patterns, please allow ample time to get to your destination and park, which can often add 20+ minutes to your travel time.
Train
Union Station
Union Station is the main train and bus hub of D.C. It's located in the heart of the city (50 Massachusetts Avenue NE), and you can access the Metro Red Line here. From here, you can take 1-3 stops to arrive at the hotel block or reception venue.
Flight
Flights
The D.C. Area has three major airports: Ronald Regan Washington National Airport (DCA), Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), and Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI). All three of them are located within 30-60 minutes of our reception and hotel block (DCA is the closest). Both DCA and IAD are Metro-accessible; BWI is not.
