Things To Do

The activities on Oahu are boundless….and there are more should you decide to travel outer-island. From stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, windsurfing, hiking, snorkeling, diving, boating, surfing, or attending a luau, just to name a few, we leave it up to our guests to plan their vacation activities while on the island. One great resource for finding activities and tours is www.hawaiiactivities.com. In light of COVID-19, please call ahead to check any activity/site. Here are some suggestions, in no particular order. Some of Jackie's favorite hikes include Maunawili Falls, Manoa Falls, Incline at Koko Crater, Crouching Lion, Kuliou’ou, and Olomana.

Pearl Harbor & Arizona Memorial

1 Arizona Memorial Pl, Honolulu, HI 96818

Important historical site. We recommend advance purchase tickets for tours.

Diamond Head

Honolulu, HI 96815

Short, easy, mostly paved hike with a beautiful overlook of Waikiki. There are a lot of steps in 2 sections, and a tunnel, but it is lit with lights. Minimal fee of $5 per vehicle or $1 per walk-in visitor.

Hanauma Bay

HI 96825

Great snorkeling on the East side of Oahu, not far from Waikiki. Jackie has wonderful childhood memories of this place! Open daily from 6:00a.m. until 7:00p.m. except on Tuesdays. There may be a entrance fee. You are not allowed to stand on the coral, so water shoes are not necessary. Travel a little bit further down the windy coastline and see the Blowhole, which is known for filming a famous beach scene in "From Here to Eternity".

Kualoa Ranch

49-560 Kamehameha Highway, Kaneohe, HI 96744
, (808) 237-7321

This large ranch with multiple activities such as horseback riding, ATVs, kayaking, Secret Island and movie/TV tours such as Jurassic Park, 50 First Dates, Lost. Wonderful view of Chinaman's Hat (island). We considered this as a potential wedding venue!

Sea Life Park

Waimanalo Beach, HI 96795

Another place Jackie loved as a child. Just down the road is TC's dock from the original Magnum P.I.

Waimea Falls

North Shore, HI 96712

Beautiful plantlife and peacocks roaming the property. This was another site we considered for our wedding! Just across the street is Waimea Bay, where you can jump off the rocks into the ocean!
