The White Horse Inn

The White Horse Inn is just a quick 3.5 miles (7 minute drive) from Lareau Farm. The White Horse Inn is a modern 26-guest room inn and bed-and-breakfast, built in 1978. Full breakfast is included in your lodging! Enjoy a hearty meal each morning from 7:00am-10:00am. Additionally, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are served daily from 2:00pm-10:00pm in the Fireplace Room, Dining Room, and Fayston Game Room. See website for specifics. We've reserved the entire inn (26 rooms) for our guests this weekend - so be sure to mention our wedding to make your reservation. The room rate is $109/night (plus tax) for a single person and an additional $15/night for every additional person. Rooms with King Sized beds start at $119/night (plus tax). Note: White Horse Inn will release any unbooked rooms to the public on August 21st, 2018. Please make your reservations accordingly. All reservations should be made via phone.

The Featherbed Inn

The Featherbed Inn is the lodging closest to Lareau Farm - only .2 miles away! (1 min drive - 5 minute walk). We have reserved the entire inn for our wedding guests. The Featherbed Inn offers nine spacious bedrooms (several of which are suites). All rooms include warm, fluffy featherbed mattresses. Your stay at the Featherbed Inn includes full breakfast and afternoon refreshments. Room rates vary by size starting at $150/night. There is a 2 night minimum for all weekend bookings. All reservations must be made via phone. Note: Rooms will be released to the public on September 1st, 2018 - please make your reservations accordingly.

Waitsfield Inn

The Waitsfield Inn is located in the center of Waitsfield - walking distance to the farmer's market, restaurants, and shops. The Inn also has a full service restaurant and bar for your enjoyment and your stay includes a homemade breakfast. We have not reserved rooms at the Waitsfield Inn (as they do not offer room blocks) but there are still openings last time we checked. The website is a little wonky - but don't let that deter you! We visited the inn and the accommodations are lovely. Rooms start at $125/night and there is a two night minimum on weekends.

Yellow Farmhouse Inn

The Yellow Farmhouse Inn is 2.5 miles (7 minute drive) from Lareau Farm. The Yellow Farmhouse Inn has 8 spacious rooms with private baths and wood stoves. We have not blocked off rooms here - but there are still openings last we checked! Rooms start at $159/night. There is a two night minimum on weekends.

Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Waterbury Stowe

For those looking for a more traditional hotel experience that's a little closer to the highway for easy access to the airport - we recommend Fairfield Inn and Suites! Fairfield Inn is a 25 minute drive to Lareau Farm. No shuttle will be provided and we do not have a room block at this hotel.

There are many airbnb properties available in this area of Vermont, just a few miles from Lareau Farm! That said, they go quickly and this is a very popular time of year to visit the Mad River Valley - so start your search ASAP. We have stayed at many an Airbnb and highly recommend it. We will do our best to provide shuttle accommodations for large groups.

Shuttles will be provided for guests staying locally at the Featherbed Inn, The White Horse Inn, Sugarbush Resort and The Waitsfield Inn. All guests staying in local rental properties are welcome to join the shuttle bus at any one of these four stops that is most convenient for you. Bus Schedule: Sugarbush Resort - Departs at 2:10pm Waitsfield Inn - Departs at 2:25pm Featherbed Inn - Departs at 2:35pm White Horse Inn - Departs at 3:00pm We have arranged to have a shuttle return guests to the Featherbed Inn, The White Horse Inn, Sugarbush Resort, and The Waitsfield Inn. Buses will leave on the hour starting at 10pm. Last bus departs Lareau Farm at 12am!

There are multiple rental car companies conveniently located at the Burlington International Airport. We recommended booking your car through one of them. Car services such as uber and lyft are not yet prominent in the State of Vermont.

Flight

Burlington International Airport

The State of Vermont has only one large airport that supports domestic and international flights located in beautiful and quirky Burlington, VT. Waitsfield, VT is a 55 minute drive from the airport. There is no public transportation available.
